Office for Mac 2011 has been acting up for about half a year. The first time I noticed something off was when I try to categorize an event under a certain category and the event deletes itself after a few seconds of saving it. If I change the color, the title, or make a completely new identical category its the same problem. If I make the event first before adding the category, it deletes itself once it is placed in that category.

The second problem is now some events are moving to a different date on their own. These are random occurrences but they're mainly events that are occurring within the next few days. Nothing else is changed, it's just as if it was dragged into a different date. I don't believe it has anything to do with restarting the program, sometimes I just come back to it and it has changed. This occurs less frequently but has happened about 3 times so far.

Let me know if either of these problems can be fixed. Thanks.

All I am trying to do is share my contacts from my mac outlook to a pc outlook2010. CAN ANYONE GIVE ME A ANSWER!?

Hi,

This seems like an impossible thing from what I've read (any real simple sync'ing that is), but I'll ask it anyway - Is there anyway or how can I have my Calendar and People (contacts!) synced up to my Outlook for Mac desktop program? It seems to be downloading and synching all my emails from my hotmail accounts, but nothing is still flicking up in it's contacts section from my People section online etc, or in it's calendar section from my Calendar section online. When I say 'online', I'm obviously talking about from outlook.com and all associated sections.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dear all,

We have a distribution group containing other distribution groups. When expanding or sending an email to this distribution group only one of the nested groups are getting resolved. We never seen any issues with this before the Office update after the Yosemite update so we can't tell if this was an issue before or after the update.

Example:

- GroupA contains UserA and UserB

- GroupB contains UserZ and UserY

- GroupX contains GroupA and GroupB

When sending/resolving GroupX only GroupB (so only UserZ and UserY) will be used.

Client:

Outlook 2011 14.4.6

OSX Yosemite

Server:

Windows Server 2003 R2

Hello Good Morning

I have a problem with outlook 2001 for mac. In all the signatures of both sending and reception instead of letters are symbols (an A inside a square). I have looked at the system fonts, preferences, outlook reinstalled office completely deleting all preferences before .......

Is there any clear solution for this?

Thank you.

Hi, maybe you can help me with another problem.

Almost all emails I send with attachments, arrive destination corrupted... if pictures, they arrive broken (can see just half of it). If pdf, can not open at all... if from office (word or excel), some times at opening it gives the option of repair and works (some times the repair does not work).

Rarely they arrive ok... send, two, three times, until it reaches destination fine. Messages at the sent box, always appear ok and attachments can open just fine... problem is only at the destination.

It is not a server problem, as my colleagues are not facing the problem... also I have (at the same server), different email accounts, one Imap and another one POP, both face the same problem. Also I have an acount from gmail and same thing is happening.

Most strange is that if send it from webmail, everything works...

I found some texts on internet, mentioning this is a problem of outlook and suggesting other managers, but I also found people saying no matter the email manager, it is a problem of mac OS, which is hard to believe.

Any idea about how to fix this...?

Tks,

Several times a day, the following error appears in Outlook: The server for account "Yahoo" returned the error "Autologout timer; idle for too long." Your username/password or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password? I have addressed it by deleting and re-adding the account, re-entering my password, following specific instructions for adding the account from Yahoo and office365 support. I would appreciate any input regarding settings.

I use Outlook for Mac and the rest of my team use the PC based version of Outlook.

They have a shared calendar (created by one of them as a new Calendar) that they all post to and edit.

Is there a way I can add this to my calendar in the mac version?

We have tried sending a share invite but it never comes through. I've been added to the folders permission list and still nothing.

I even tried creating a new calendar on the Mac addition and then inviting my team to join that - but there is no invite button in the Mac Version - I changed the permissions but still no one but me can see it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There must be a way to share a created calendar between the two versions of Outlook!?!?!
