Hello,

I just got a MacBook, and installed Microsoft Office for Mac - all about two weeks ago.  Last week I set up Outlook with my Hotmail account, and it seemed to be working fine.  A few days ago I updated to Yosemite, and now Outlook will not sync the Inbox.  It will sync the Deleted, and all other folders.  It seems to WANT to sync the Inbox, but it never gets past, "Downloading... 0/47".  The little blue progress bar never moves...

I've tried deleting, and re-adding the account.

Not trying to blame this on Yosemite.  Could be a coincidence.

Any advice?

Thanks,

Josh

I'm noticing in emails just recently, and i believe it showed up about the same time as the upgrade to Yosemite, that there are strange characters inserted into my emails for others.  For example there is a superscript 1 in place of an apostrophe:

Mocha¹s

That is just one example of strange text...

ideas?

As the title would suggest, when receiving emails sent from iPhones or iPads, my Outlook (Mac) displays them with no spaces between the words.

Emails sent from all other devices work just fine.  There is nothing online in any of the forums that talks about this.

It started Friday afternoon.

Help?

Thanks in advance.

For many years I have used Outllook on my PC and found one very useful feature in Contacts ,New view, which lists contacts as Business Cards with phone numbers. I can then print up to 20 of these contacts on a page and make my own phone book.

Sadly Outlook 2011 for Mac , part of Office 2011 for Mac, has had this feature removed and now I cant print my address book. Can anyone suggest a way round this?

Many thanks

Gordon Nicol

I'm running the new version of Outlook for Mac  for office 365 subscribers, and I've read where the Office suite will be released as a stand-alone version as well as by subscription in the second half of 2015.

I don't a link to download the install bits if you are not an Office 365 subscriber.

This new version actually works quite well. Allow people to install it as a trial and have it expire with the GA release in 2015.

Allowing non subscribers to test the new Outlook would generate a lot of buzz.

If the rest of the suite performs on par with Outlook, it'll be a solid improvement.

Why is the Outlook ribbon for Mac 2011 not customisable.
Split from this thread.

The problem is fixed, but the difficulty was in deciding which Identity to choose to rebuild the database on, and which could be discarded. Obviously I don't need all these, but can I trash most of them? How to decide which is the Identity I am using and need?
