I have Outlook 2011 for Mac installed in my MacBook Pro. It was working great for 2 years but now a problem has come up. I have an IMAP account setup with it (it's hosted through GoDaddy), and everything syncs fine except for the Sent Folder. The e-mails that I send through my Mac do not show up in the e-mail server thus they don't show up in my other devices (IPad, Android Phone, and Windows 8 Desktop). All the other e-mails that are Sent through my other devices show up in the e-mail server and even show up in the Outlook 2011 for Mac folder.
As you can see the problem is only with the uploading of the Sent message from my Mac. A message at the bottom of the Sent Folder says "Sync Pending on Folder". I click on it and the Progress Window pops up, it says E-mail (IMAP) Sent: Uploading 0/200 messages. It does not upload anything and just disappears after a few minutes. I tried changing the Outgoing Server to all the available options but nothing has changed.
Any suggestions? Thank you in Advance.
Hello,
I'm trying to setup a process (manual or automated) where I can easily archive my emails and retain the folder structure.
I like the 'Rule'-based approach, but the only downside is that the folder structure is eliminated, and that I have to manually run the Rule on any sub-folders.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
I don't understand the workaround here, https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2928846/en-us
Method 1 - Where am I supposed to run these PowerShell commands? On the server?
Method 2 - Do I need to have my primary account added for this to work?
Another questions about using Mac Outlook again...
In Windows 2010 Outlook, I was able to forward draft emails while keeping a saved copy of the draft email in my drafts folders (by simply clicking "forward"). My drafts would serve as my email templates in Windows, which I'm sure lots of the Windows users do...
However, in Mac 2011, I can't find a way to do that...
When forwarding saved draft emails, the sent draft remains in the folder, however, the forwarded email produces a forwarded header within the body of the email. The forward header can be easily deleted, yes, but having to delete each time I forward slows down my work...
Next, I found out about the email template solution using "signatures" but this is also not a completely elegant solution because the email subject line is blank and would need filling in every time... this option still wouldn't serve as a total email template...
Suggestions?
In Outlook 2010 Windows, I was able to view reminders for upcoming or overdue events. In 2011 on Mac, I cannot find the button or menu to view reminders.
Is there a way to open the reminders window in Mac Outlook 2011?
I recently imported a Windows/.pst Calendar file into Outlook 2011 for Mac. Now I have 2 Calendar files in Outlook 2011 for Mac.
Having 2 calendar files is causing hiccups in my work flow (saving and exporting events). I want to work with only 1 calendar file.
Is it possible to MERGE the calendars?
Or... customer service @ Microsoft suggested copying all calendar items from the imported calendar file into the default Outlook calendar file... but there are hundreds of items. Is there a way to copy them over all at once?
Or is it possible to change which Calendar file is the DEFAULT calendar file for my Outlook?
My problem seems like:
1.) Yosemite OS X 10.10.1 problem OR
2.) Microsoft Outlook setting problem with Yosemite
Outlook 2011 for Mac worked fine until operating system was upgraded from Lion to Yosemite. I have asked on the Apple community and they indicate that the problem lies with Microsoft so hopefully someone knows the answer and can direct me to a solution here or back at Apple.
I am receiving error codes and multiple e-mails unless I delete them from my Yahoo mail account online.
Outlook 2011 for Mac continues to give me errors only when connecting to Yahoo mail
Error Code 16999 - Inactivity timeout
Error Code 3253 - Connection to server failed or was dropped
Error Code 17895 - Connection to server failed or was dropped
Multiple e-mails is driving me crazy, I am sure there is a box that needs to be checked or unchecked but I do not know what settings to adjust.
I look forward to a solution...
Running Outlook 2011 for Mac with Office 365 email account. Has been set up and running properly for months. All of a sudden on Friday 12/5/14 I started getting a constant Logon Failure.
Now every time Outlook goes to sync with Office 365 I get a Logon Failure:
Mail could not be received at this time.
The server for account [my account] returned the following error "Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password." Your username/password or security setting may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password?
I re-enter my password and logon is successful. Sync is completed and I receive incoming mail. However, the next time Outlook goes to sync with the Office 365 server, the same problem happens. So, I am basically re-entering my password every 2 minutes or so. I also have my credentials stored in my keychain, but Outlook still asks me to re-enter my password every time.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? How did you solve it?
