Any ideas how to fix this please?
To write emails, I set up an AutoCorrect shortcut. When I type "ce", Outlook corrects that to "ClubExpress", the name of my company.
However, with a recent update, I've noticed that after typing the next word, the autocorrect "uncorrects" and I end up with "ce" again.
For example, I'll type "ce " and end up with "ClubExpress " but when I type the next space or a word such as "will", I'll end up with "ce will" instead of "ClubExpress will". It's incredibly irritating!
I've checked my AutoCorrect settings to see if I have a reverse definition defined but nothing jumps out at me. However, the same behavior doesn't exist with other AutoCorrect entries. For example, if I accidentally type "abotu" it autocorrects to "about" but never uncorrects.
So perhaps I'm not looking in the right place. Any suggestions?

Hi group,
I had this problem a few weeks ago, spent a week trying everything. wiping the drive, installing every app from scratch, rebuilding the data base reinstalling office 2011 re-index rebuild the **** and on and on including terminal commands. BTW I got it fixed for a few days then it stopped....
Found an obscure thread concerning the outlook mdimporter inside the app but I have no idea how to get it and the spotlight index to work together.
Originally I thought reinstalling and then resetting the permissions would do it as it did a few weeks ago but in the end the search did not respond 100% correct then it stopped.
I'm lost as to what is happening...
Thanks David
Outlook 2011 Mac
I have 6 or 7 email accounts. Most are IMAP, one is exchange and one is POP3
Sometime ago I had to rebuild my database due to corrupt emails in some folders.
This recovered 375 folders which now sit in my local email account under "on my computer".
If I spend the time to place these emails back in there correct folders I will then have duplicates and in some cases it will mean one email is corrupt and the other good...
My question is how do I run a script to delete the corrupt duplicate email and not the good one?
I then need to rebuild the database again as I constantly get cannot find the server messages even though everything is ok.
Any help appreciated, Thanks, Paul
Outlook in Office 2011 for Mac, in Yosemite, is terrible. Lots of stalls. When writing an email, every 10 seconds I get the beach ball for a 2-10 seconds, which is maddening. Nothing else seems to be going on the background when
this happens (no uploads, synchs, videos, etc.) I updated Office today to 14.4.7 and am running OS10.10.1 on Mac Mini (Early 2009, Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM). I rebuilt the database, ran Disk Utility>Repair Permissions, and restarted. No change. This did not
happen until I installed Yosemite a few weeks ago.
Anyone else having this issue? What is going on and how do I fix it?
Thanks

This did not work for me.
I need to make sure all of my emails stay on the server. I have other devices that I use to read and write email and I cannot afford for my Mac to remove the messages from the server.
Is there anyway to stop Outlook 2011 from moving messages out of the inbox and onto the local computer? If not, what other options do I have?
Thanks

I too have this problem, but I don't have any preference file. The only com.microsoft prefs file I have is the licensing pref file.
I have just updated Mircosoft Office 2011 as suggested by auto-updater, however once complete the search for updates throws up the same 14.4.7 update. This is just a continuous circle. How can I get the update to register so I don't need to constantly keep doing this?
Thanks,
