I have Mac Outlook 2011 ver 14.4.7.

I get the following error in the image below after moving folders that are stored on 'On My Computer' to an IMAP mail account.

Also keep getting Mailbox exists in the Error log after moving folders to the IMAP account.

A little background in case it's important:

SBS2008 Server w/ Exchange v7 8.01.0340.000

I run an RDC connection to a virtual server running Office 2010 (this is not the same server hosting Exchange)

I run a Mac with OSX 10.6.8 and Office 2011

I use both of these workspaces simultaneously. Previous to installing Office 2011 last month, I ran Office 2010 from the RDC connection. Everything worked fine from that side.

Now that I'm using Outlook 2011 task management is very strange at times. I'm in MacOS 95% of my day. I'd prefer to use Outlook 2011 rather than 2010 through an RDC connection, which is the reason I purchased 2011.

---------

The issue(s): Suppose I create a task in Outlook 2011, and save it; then, later I go back to make edits. If Outlook happens to sync while I have the task open in edit mode, it will get overwritten with the previously saved version. The only workaround I have found so far is to hit the cmd-s button nearly as frequently as punctuation. At least I never lose more than a sentence fragment.

However, one thing that I can not seem to resolve at all is completion status. If I ever have occasion to re-activate a completed task--which does happen--toggling the 'completed' button back off and saving the task does not re-set its status back to active. The 'task complete' flag seems to fall outside of the purview of the save function. So, while hitting 'save' regularly when editing tasks retains the data, every time exchange syncs with the tasks, it will mark the task completed again.

I have double/triple checked the server's time and my workstation's time are the same--down to the second. I've tried closing the Outlook 2010 application on the PC. I've fiddled with the sync services preferences in Outlook 2011 to sync to the Exchange server, to my computer (and combinations of both); I've set the outlook folder to add new items to the Exchange server and to the local machine. The results are always the same as outlined above.

In our company we use Mac Outlook 2011 (newest version), PC Outlook 2013 (newest version) and Exchange server 8.3.379.2. The PC Outlook mail content is synchronized properly between my iPhone Exchange mail account and OWA (Outlook Web Access). The content is synchronized basically immediately with no delay.

However, the sync between Mac Outlook 2011 and the rest of the Exchange mail content is not working for me. My colleague has almost identical gear and he doesn't suffer from the problem. We have no idea why.

When I delete a message in Windows-Outlook, then the message gets deleted in my OSX-Outlook in just one second. But if I delete a message in OSX-Outlook, the message may get deleted in Windows-Outlook in 60 seconds, but there are many cases where it doesn't sync some particular differences (in which folder an email message is located) at all. So my Windows-Outlook has ~500 messages in my Inbox and OSX-Outlook Inbox has ~300 messages. I have already tried removing all subfolders in Inbox according to the "best practices" but that didn't have any effect.

What can cause this behaviour?

Outlook 14.4.7 no longer seems to group conversations with subfolders?  I only see the inbox (and not the inbox subfolder) messages in conversation view?

Did this change?  I recently upgraded from 14.4...(3 I think).

The only other question I see is http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/mac/forum/macoffice2011-macoutlook/arrange-by-conversation-does-not-show-messages/2b887255-9ebd-495d-ba84-f18ea77969fa and it implies subfolders should be there.

Hello Everyone,

I have several clients running Mac workstations with Outlook 2011. Lately each and every client is having username/password pop-ups appearing. Regardless of re-entering the password, re-typing the username to include the domain, nothing seems to resolve it. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Isaac

Hi - I am using Outlook 2011 for Mac and when someone sends me an appointment, I accept it and it's on my calendar, I cannot see any other invitees on the appointment. I only see the person who sent me the invite. I know there are other attendees on my meetings. Please advise, thanks!

Microsoft Outlook must be closed because an error occurred. Any unsaved work may be lost. Quit.

Can anyone help with what this means or how I might fix it?

Thanks
