Using Outlook 2011 Mac.

Just did a back up of my notes and contacts and importing after wiping my MacBook clean. I get the following error when importing:

Outlook did not import all your data.

You stopped the import process before it was completed.

Any help appreciated. Thanks!

I am using Office for Mac 14.4.7.

I am having a problem with Outlook, but only sporadically.

When hitting the Send/Receive, I sometimes get the following error: Error 3253 "Connection to the server failed or was dropped".

Most of the time Outlook sends and receives normally, but then I'll get this error 4 or 5 times in a row, then it works fine again.

Intermittent problems can be very frustrating.

Please...any ideas?

Split from this thread.

I have the same problem with a variant. This is with OS 10.9.5:

- Downloaded and ran the update. All Office programs show version 14.4.7.

- Checking for updates with any Office program from a non-administrator account always shows update 14.4.7 is still available.

- Checking for updates with any Office program from an administrator account always shows no updates available.

I have run repair disk and repair permission, which change nothing.

Any further ideas?

Thanks.

I am fed up of outlook mac and its issues and wish to move onto outlook windows as have used it previously without any hiccups. But I have a lot of emails and when I try to export them from outlook 2011, nothing happens. I click on export and then next next on resulting menu but it does not show export progress and simply closes without any outcomes.
A few weeks back I installed office 2011 and it was working fine until yesterday. I have also updated my mac to yosemite and since than outlook is not synchronizing emails. It tries to synchronize but stops and never go ahead of 0/121.

Outlook cannot find the server. Verify the server information is entered correctly in the Account Settings, and that your DNS settings in the Network pane of System Preferences are correct.

Tested with this same type of error in iMac (Yosemite - 10.10) and MacBook (Mountain Lion - 10.8) both running the Office 2011 for Mac with the latest updates applied, and this only happens for Outlook.com / Live.com / Hotmail.com emails...

I verified that Outlook for Mac does not allow TLS, only SSL and I believe this is the root of the problem...

  • When setting the same emails with the native Mail app for Mac OS X, then it works flawlessly, what an irony!

Running OS X Yosemite and I seem to have lost ability to access account folder to correct isp issue?
I would like to adjust the speed at which the cursor blinks in Outlook 2011 for the Mac. Ideally I would like it to not blink at all.
