In my item list, if I turn off every single field (e.g., From, Subject, Status), there's still a small column all the way on the left with no identifier.

I've attached a photo with a red arrow pointing to the column in question.

The column seems to serve no purpose other than taking up space. I can't identify it, so I can't turn it off. Can someone help? Every inch counts on my screen.

Thanks!

Running Outlook 2011 on OS X 10.9.5; Office is up to date

We recently upgraded our Exchange server from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013.

From that time on I can't make outlook 2011 for Mac to work.

I configure the e-mail account but it does not connect.

All other e-mail applications I tested (Mac Mail, Thunderbird, Airmail) all work just fine.

Only Outlook can't connect to our Exchange server.

I activated error logging and the output is here: http://www.engenheiros.pt/~lsilva/Microsoft%20Outlook_Troubleshooting_0.csv

It seems autodiscovery isn't working.

Altough I configured Outlook account properties manually.

The same behaviour with all other applications that can't connect automatically but do work after I manually configure the server.

Could you please help me.

I really think outlook for Mac is the best mail application in an Exchange environment.

Thank you very much.

PS: I have OS X Yosemite fully up-to-date (10.10.1)

I have recently upgraded to office mac 2011 home and business for the outlook, how do you sync you ical on your iPhone and mac to the outlook so I can see all appointments on both devices

Exported my Notes and Contacts on Office 2011 for Mac to an OLM file. Made a big mistake by stopping the small import (its a small file) and when I try to import now it won't let me. Error message I get is: "Outlook did not import all your data. You stopped the import process before it was completed."

I searched the web and found a few pay recovery services (around $100). Using the trial it shows me that my data is there and if you want to export it you have to pay. If it was a large file I would have no prob paying, but since its only 20 notes and 100+ contacts or so I have to assume there is another way. I made 2 mistakes I won't make again: 1) don't stop an import and 2) make 2 or 3 exports incase you fail to listen to my first mistake.

Any suggestions to perform CPR on my little ole OLM file?

Thanks!

Allan

Split from this thread.

I just spent two point five hours trying to simply get my contacts, calendars, and notes to appear on both my iphone and my macbook pro.

Can't be done.

Is there a version of Outlook, OS X, iTunes, iOS, etc. that WILL synch my Outlook calendars, contacts, and notes to iOS on an iPhone 5 running the latest OS?

I'm putting ten bucks on "No, but there is iCloud. You really should just surrender to iTunes. iCloud can manage everything. Have you clicked on "let iTunes F*qk my wife?" and  "Why not? It's already F*qked you. Click here to give up." REMINDER: You already bought into this conspiracy. It's in the ToS. Read the F----ing thing, won't you?"

When I try to delete emails from my Sent or Deleted folders, I looks like it is deleting them, but then I get an error message which says "Microsoft Outlook must be closed because an error occurred. Any unsaved work may be lost," I click "okay," Outlook closes, and when I reopen it none of the emails have been deleted.

Hi there

I am using Microsoft Outlook as my email program on my MacBook Air device.

The actual program is Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2011

Version 14.4.7 (141117)

All my incoming emails in my Inbox vanish if they are 30days or older.

I have started to create subfolders under the Inbox Folder and I move all my important emails to those subfolders. Those email that I move to the subfolders they never get deleted. All the emails that remain in my Inbox they automatically get deleted after 30days.

I need all my emails to remain on the Inbox without the need for me to move them to subfolders as it is an inconvenience.

I tried to go under Tools / Accounts / Advanced to find the options for leaving messages on server but I don't have that option anymore to tick or untick it.

Can you please advise / assist.

Is there a way to sync Outlook for Mac 14.4.7 with Calender and Contacts - running Maverick 10.9.5

I only want to sync the contacts and the calender, not the mails. And I don't want to use

icloud or Exchange, simply USB.  If it doesn't work, how do I import the .olm database in the Maverick calender?

Microsoft support affirmed it will work out, Apple support didn't know, Internet forums were differently by research,

so thanks for help!

As the title says my Outlook "Sent" folder has almost nothing in it.  If I logon to the web Gmail client all sent messages are there.  I suspect there is some sort of labeling or folder mapping issue between Gmail and Outlook, but everything looks fine to me.  But what do I know??  I've been using this configuration for over a year now thanks to help from Diane Ross - so everything else is working pretty well.

Your help would be appreciated.

Hello,

I tried to import the .pst into my Outlook for Mac.  The import was successful and all of the folders and emails show up under the ON MY COMPUTER tab in a sort of greyed out colour.  Then I added my email address as an account and the emails came in fine.  However, under the emails inbox there was a folder called Inbox which contained my 6 main folders for organizing my emails and there are folders missing within these folders.  I then looked for the missing folders which exist in the Deleted Messages folder for some reason.  I did not delete these folders or move them.  I also did not move the folders from the original transfer (ON MY COMPUTER) to the inbox above. When I try to solve the issue, I cannot delete any folders, some of the folders are in grey font and some are in black, and the outlook shows "Sync pending for this folder" along the bottom and then quickly changes to "all folders are up to date".

Did I miss a step when importing the .pst file?
