I want to set up a meeting through outlook but every time my computer asks me to have an "email account in outlook". I HAVE an email account connected to outlook but the system will not let me send the calendar invite. What should I do?

Office for Mac 2011 crashed all of a sudden today. Would not restart. Finally got SyncServices quit and tried to import 2011 data into the new Outlook 365 for Mac. It imported my email accounts okay, but not all of my past messages. I only have the messages going back to part of December. How do I get all the messages back that were in my Outlook 2011?

I was concerned that my newly created tasks were not appearing in my task list.  However, i have since noticed that they have been assigned to the incorrect account (I have 2 email accounts setup in Outlook).  I cannot find anywhere where i can change the default account setting for tasks (the correct email account is listed as the default account in Tools) or how to change the account that tasks have been assigned to - to bring them into my correct listing.  Any ideas?

Hello.

I've been searching online for an answer and can't find one - hopefully someone can help...

I recently updated to Yosemite and decided on a general clear-out, so went through 1000's of documents, photos, emails, etc. I ended up deleting the all of the emails in my 'deleted items' folder. Since then, when I go into Outlook and hit the 'send/receive' tab it logs on as normal, but then gets stuck on 'updating message list' - it shows me that there are emails and how many, but will not download them.

Does anyone have any experience of this?

Many thanks!

We use Office365 for our company email. Users cannot use Outlook 15, because it isn't compatible with ADFS (yet).

Thank you,

I have accidently deleted all the emails from the Imap server while I was using Outlook 2011 for mac. Luckily I have all the emails showing up in the outlook 2011, may be its backsup the files, but when I have reconnected its taking too long to sync up all the emails.

I need to access all these emails in windows outlook in my windows system but untill these files are synced from outlook 2011 for mac, I am stuck. Is there any other wat to moive these files from Outlook mac to outlook windows??

I was having continuous Kernel Panic restart during "rebuilding Identity" after I recovered the Macbook Pro using Time Machine.

The only way I figured to fix this issue is to follow the following steps

1- Close all office applications using "Force Quit" in apple menu

2- Press "option" key while clicking on "Go" menu

3- Go to "Library"

4- Go to "Preferences" directory

5- drag every com.microsoft.xxx file to desktop

6- click on outlook on the dock and rebuild identity

This seemed to fix the Kernel Panic restart

I had to recently reload my Microsoft Office Package, including Outlook.  My gmail account loads though my outlook.  Everytime I'm away from the computer for a short time,  it signs me out of Outlook and I have to sign back in again.  I talked to the Microsoft help desk and they had me fix the keychain.  That didn't make a difference.  What do I do now.  It's very annoying to have to keep signing in.  By the way,  I had this problem previously and was able to find some simple solution online but can't find it anymore.

thanks

Trying to set this up but having trouble. I am doing the following:

1. I copy and paste badge from Linkedin to my outlook signature. I use the first badge provided for on Linkedin

2. I then select Format>Hyperlink while my signature box is open. I have highlighted the Linkedin badge.

3. I type in the hyperlink from linkedin.

4. The problem: Outlook asks for the text for the hyperlink. If I leave this field blank, then Outlook deletes the image and inserts the hyperlink. If I type in any text, then Outlook deletes the badge and inserts the text that I type.

Please help. Thanks!

Hi there,

I have a business license of Office for Mac. Just to be clear I mean the classic CD version which includes Outlook.

It seems recently Microsoft released a new version of Outlook. As far as I know this release is free to all users of Office online version Office 365 etc.

Is there a way for us classic users to upgrade to Outlook's latest release?
