Hello,

i have installed Outlook for Mac via the 365 membership and i am struggling to keep my folders (around 15) synced on my Microsoft Exchange Account.

The server status is always "connected" but some folders sometime drop their sync (randomly, right after launching outlook or sometimes a few hours later).

I have several clients working well (on my PC, tablet, telephone) which would mean that it is it probably an Outlook for Mac issue.

i have seen several threads on this issue but nothing satisfactory for my situation.

thanks a lot for your prompt feedback

best,

Luiz

Split from this thread.

You can customize the middle column. See "Arrange By"? Select Custom Arrangement to create your own sort options.

You can hide the folders (blue section) to gain more screen space. Under View in the Menu bar uncheck "Navigation Pane" (You'll also see hide the Ribbon too) . It doesn't have a shortcut assigned but you can add a shortcut in System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts.

some body know how to resolve it ???

i'm also got that same error when we want to use right reading pane columns it will disappear

i know about John but i think dianeoforegon that it not way to resolve it.

thank you so much

I just received a new MacBook Air and want to transfer JUST my Outlook 2011 data. In my current iMac (using Exchange) I also have emails On My Computer from years and years back. Will it be as simple as copying the Identity to a thumb drive? Will that get all the On My Computer historical emails, signatures, setting etc?

As to why I just want a clean fresh install of everything so I on't want to restore my Time Machine Backup. I realize thats the easy way.

TIA.

I have Office for Mac 2011 and today suddenly i no longer get the history in the emails if I reply or forward. There must be a setting for this, but cant find out how to get this working again.

Thanks for your help

Hi Everyone,

I have a trouble with crashing Outlook 2011 as in the subject. Below is info from bug report.

What I did?

- delete outlook.plist files from /Users/username/Library/Preferences

- Update to newest version Outlook 2011 and Yosemite

- disable MERP

- delete from /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Office/Preferences files Office Sync Prefs, Outlook Preferences

- reinstall Office with deleting all related files

- rebuilding and crating new Database, deleting Documents/Microsoft User  Data

- configure account on second computer with Yosemite- the same problem

Next thing is that error occur only with Exchange account when I have configured IMAP account then everything works fine. After close the Microsoft Error Reporting there is no configuration in account preferences but folders still exists. It is not only me, in my company there are a lot of people with this problem.

I think this is a bug in Outlook/Yosemite because I checked many things. Can you help me in this case?

Kind regards,

Slawek.

Outlook seems to have a mind of its own. It randomly sends good valid emails to Junk folder, even from regular business senders that it accepted the day before. This often causes me serious problems when I miss an important email.  But then I get the phfishing emails - no problem! There must be an algorithm which decides this - how do I disable it?

I am able to receive mail but can't send anything.  something has happened during the last few days to cause this.  I am connecting to Apple's cloud service. The Mac OS is up to date and MS Office is up

to date

My setting for outgoing mail is:

P03-smtp.mail.me.com : 587

Override default port  is checked

and Use SSL to Connect is checked

Does this appear to be correct?

Hey there,

is there any way for Outlook 2011 on Mac to determine not only fonts but there weight.

What i´m, trying to achive is, that every mail, i start to write uses Arial Light. In die font options i only say "use arial".

There is no Option to select the Light weight. or the bold or any other.

for now i created a workaround with signatures. i formated steh standard signature in light leaving first 5 lines blank.

when i open up a new e mail first line still writes the arial regular. but using the seconde (which seems to be part of the singature then)

light ist already formated. but this is not what a programm, which calls it self a business programm, should be able to.

pls tell me how to set a light font in outlook as the standard font.

kind regards,

fred
