Hello,

I was wondering if you could help me. A while back I set up encryption in my outlook for mac 2011. Messages with certain words in the subject are to be encrypted. I know I set this up as a "rue". I am now trying to change the rules and the rules do not appear to be ANYWHERE. However, the messages with those certain words are still being send encrypted.

Do you have any idea on how to fix this??

I'm hoping this is an easy answer that for all my searching, I wasn't able to find...

I made a change to the server and username settings for an IMAP mailbox I have, and as soon as I went to exit out of the account settings, Outlook popped up a notice saying something to the effect of "deleting folders..."

Now, that whole account is no longer visible. Is there a way to get back those folders that were associated with my IMAP account? Unfortunately, at the moment, I cannot try and log in to the account on my server (I deleted it, and created an Exchange account, so now the info exists nowhere but on my Mac, hopefully).

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide,

-Nick

I selected remove from view for a shared calendar - but now I'd like to display it again. How do I re-display the shared calendar?

I installed the Office for Mac preview. I already had Office Mac 2011 installed and running. Sadly when I opened Outlook it took a long time to set up. I am connected to work exchange server with a lot of email in the account.

It crashed. It wouldn't reopen.

I tried then to use my old 2011 version of office and also no longer works. Tends to work the first time after a restart, but after sleeping the computer and waking again office fails to run. The dock icons bounce but close, no error dialogues.

I removed the office preview. I removed office 2011 then reinstalled it but still I have the issue.

I'm now a bit stuck. Any ideas anyone ?

In Outlook for Windows there's an ability to do dropdown box when creating a draft email. I'm using Outlook for Mac and can't seem to find this feature. Please can you let me know how to create a dropdown box in my email?

Ever since I update to the latest version of OS X 10.10. 3, My Outlook  for mac 2011 will not connect to an exchange 2007 server.  It worked for months beforehand, and I wondered if anybody else had the same issue.

All of my other devices inlcuidng the mail.app is connecting and working fine.  Apple say Microsoft have not updated and is not 100% compatiable

a small delete messages window popped, no indication of what folder, and the horizontal delete bar with a count of how many messages were being deleted was displayed, I hit the stop button, the deleting stopped but now I have the small delete messages window up and no way to cancel it, I can't click on anything else to select a note from my in box, can't quit Outlook.  How do I clear this condition?  I clicked on stop because I didn't want messages deleted when I didn't know what folder the deleted messages were in, and I might not want these messages deleted.

Apple has upgraded iPhoto and renamed it Photos.

When I try to send an email with a picture attachment, Outlook no longer shows up in the Apple Photos drop down Share menu.

Only Apple Mail will work with the new Photos app.

This problem happened before in October 2012 when Apple released iPhoto 9.4.1. Outlook would not work with it.

When iPhoto 9.4.2 was released in November 2012 the problem was fixed.

I prefer using Outlook, but it looks like I'm stuck with Apple Mail until a fix is released.

Does anyone know of a work-around for this problem?

For the last week or so, Outlook 2011 has had errors in searching mail. I have made a couple of screen grabs below to better show what has happened:

In this shot you can see that there are multiple instances of the word Endeavour, both in the email subject line, and in the Sender Name. When I run a search for "Endeavour" though, I get these results:

As I use Office 2011 for work, and receive usually an average of 100+ emails per day, having the search facility work is absolutely essential when going back to check an item.

Unfortunately this has just stopped for no apparent reason. I have rebuilt the database with no change to the search results, and am now at a loss for was to do. As the search is so important to my work, I am now having to consider using a different email client, though as I like all other aspects of Outlook, only want to do this as a last resort.

Can anyone tell me what needs to be done to rectify this issue?

I am using a Macbook Pro:

  Model Name: MacBook Pro

  Model Identifier: MacBookPro11,3

  Processor Name: Intel Core i7

  Processor Speed: 2.6 GHz

  Memory:         16 GB

  System Version: OS X 10.10.3 (14D131)

Hi there,

We're having an issue with Outlook 2011 where the Microsoft Database Daemon will crash within a few seconds after launching Outlook. I've tried every recommended solution I've been able to find, from deleting .plist files to completely removing Office and reinstalling. Even reinstalling OS X over top of the existing system doesn't work. My only solution thus far is to re-image the Mac and then restore from Time Machine. If anyone has any other suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate them. I've included part of the error log below. All of the Macs affected are using OS X 10.10.0-2.

Thanks very much.
