I just applied the update for Outlook 14.5.0 and I cannot get the view window (the one that shows mailboxes/messages) to display. I also cannot get the calendar to display.
I can bring up the window to send an email, but it doesn't send the email when I click send. There's nothing in the error log.
I tried to create a duplicate Exchange account. In the progress window it says "Sending 0/1" , but in the details, it says that it completed sending 0KB of 0KB and the Sending: and To: fields are blank.
Thanks for any help,
Joe Konton
I use Outlook for Mac for a single email address. When I open the program it defaults to the Inbox and the view is expanded. Is there a way to force Outlook to open with the inbox groups in a collapsed view? I have created a custom arrangement for the the display but this does not work. I find it annoying to have all the groups expanded when the program launches. Outlook for Windows does not work this way.
Thanks
A user want to copy email content which is a table format (like excel) into Excel 2011 Mac.
But it couldn't preserve table or cell into excel right. That all contents became text without border only.
If same task do on Windows platform, it can keep the table format into Excel if using Outlook 2007 and Excel 2007.
Are there any method to copy right format into Excel on Mac? Thanks.
When I select a folder in my Outlook Sent Items and look at the To Field, it now shows emails that are identified as both To and CC email addresses for the same email. It never showed CC addresses before, only the To line on that specific email. I only want it to show the email addresses that I sent in the To Field. How do I get my To Field to only show email addresses that are in the To line, not the CC line also?
Example: I send an email To: Joe Smith and CC: Mary Jane, previously, the Sent Item Folder would only display Joe Smith under the To Field. But now, it displays the To Field as Joe Smith, Mary Jane together as if I had selected the To Field for both, not To one and CC the other.

I'm using (for work) Outlook for Mac. I have the preview pane on the left, message on the right. I want to reply in preview mode and I can't find a shortcut to do so.
When I open the message in full view, there is no arrow (indicating send). I had this before an update.
To send any messages, I have to go to Drafts and select 'Reply' or left click on my mouse. I don't get where the Reply arrow or shortcut went. Is there a way to set the ribbon to include reply? Is there a way to set the View to show Reply? It's truly a pain in the rear to have to go up to the ribbon for each email reply and select 'Reply'. I thought this was supposed to be a better version.
Lastly, since I didn't have this problem before, how do I rollback to a previous version?
Thanks.
SM.
Hi
I'm writing on behalf of someone else.
We're unable to receive mail. Get this message immediately: error code - 3253 "connection to the server failed or was dropped"
What we have tried:
Verified that the same setup works in Mac Mail (Port 995 and 110, with or without SSL)
This only occurs on POP connections. Not IMAP or SMTP
Same error on different account on the POP server
Rebuild the database does not help
Same error when setting up an entirely new database.
Some symtoms similar to this bug: http://www.office.mvps.org/error/number.html#error_3253
The inbox was initially 2500 mail, but after moving half of them to an archive folder, and rebuilding the database, the error persists.
The "Sendt items" folder contains a lot less than 2500 mail
So as far as I can tell, this is not the same bug:
Made a new user profile on the mac. This worked until we imported the original database (11Gb).
Reinstall Office completely with update after this instructions did not help: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2398768
OSx Yosemite. Latest update as of 8.05.2015 (don't have the Mac here now, and can't remember the version number)
Latest version of Office for Mac 2011 as of 08.05.2015 (don't have the Mac here now, and can't remember the version number)
I have no idea what to try next. Any help is appreciated :)

I am trying to save the attachments for messages that have already arrived. I followed your steps and only saw any activity when I enabled the message for new messages and it worked fine. Right clicking selected items had no effect. I am running Outlook
for Mac 2011 version 14.4.2. Any suggestions?
Maverick up to its old tricks again . . . I upgraded my OS to Maverick and my Outlook Express running on my VMware running XP won't send emails with attachments, or more the point it does send multiple emails and won't clear out of the outbox, doesn't stop until you delete it.
I can send an email from it without attachments no problem, but add an attachment and it gets stuck . . . anybody shine some light on this problem please?
