Question about Outlook Express

I updated Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 using Microsoft AutoUpdate.App on two separate computers, each with its own registered copy of the software. While everything worked well on one computer, Outlook is no longer showing Outlook's Main Window on the other computer. I rebuilt the database but no improvement. I deleted the Outlook preferences but, again, no improvement. (I restarted the computer after each of these actions.) Prior to this update, Outlook was working fine.

I would appreciate any suggestions for other things to try.

All of a sudden, on my OS X 10.6.8 Mac Pro, any Office app that tries to print crashes. It's the same whether I print to a printer or to PDF. Sometimes it crashes immediately as I hit apple-F, and sometimes I see the print menu first and when I hit Print then it crashes. Console shows this:

So.... how long before version 14.5.0 (150423) IS FIXED????

Do we have an ETA for a patch that repairs the damage done??

I'm VERY unhappy at having to periodically apply the workaround, and then redo ALL OF MY OUTLOOK SETTINGS  :-(

The workaround I am referring to is this one:

Closed Outlook

Opened Terminal, and typed following two commands (first one took several seconds, then the second one was very fast):

defaults delete com.microsoft.Outlook

killall cfprefsd

restart Outlook, reconfigure views to liking…

Almost every folder in Outlook's mail windows is gray. I can still select them and see the content, but folders are gray, not black, so they are harder to read. The only folder that are black are;

Inbox

Drafts

Sent Items

deleted Items

Junk E-mail

(the two folder inside of Junk, my Exchange account name and On My Computer)

All of my exchange folders, my local folders, and my Smart folders are gray.

Any ideas? What does it mean that they are gray?

It only occurs when I send in HTML based email, but this is a new occurrence. I type an email indenting each new paragraph but when i receive a return copy the indent is gone. Has anyone experienced this? Is there a fix?

Hi there- I ran the update yesterday and although I can open word and excel fine, outlook will only show the menu bar at the top- I cannot see my folders or inbox. 

Its version 14.5.0.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have quite a few emails I need to print/respond to.

Since the last german Update 14.5.0. (Outlook2011 for MAC) with newest OSX Outlook starts, but there is no main-screen from Outlook.

I can't see my Outlook inbox after done with an ordinary update from Microsoft. My email accounts still saved (verified on   top menu - Tools - Accounts), but the Outlook icon does not open any windows. However, on the top menu, on File - New   I'm able to send messages from the main account. Does somebody have or had have this issue? How did you resolve it?

I have Outlook 2011 for Mac version 14.5.0

I just installed the version 14.5 update and suddenly the default font in my new messages has changed to Times Roman 16pt from Calibri 14pt, and I can't find a way to change it back! 

Has this option been removed? I must have changed it originally as I've been using Calibri 14pt for years.
