About five days ago, I upgraded from Mountain Lion to Yosemite. Right after installing Office 2011 and the 14.5.0 update, I started having problems getting "Microsoft Error Reporting" messages after I exported an olm file (exporting everything) in Outlook 2011. This is just an export for archiving purposes.
The message says:
"Microsoft Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you were in the middle of something, the information you were were working on may be lost."
Then there is the option to submit a report and restart Outlook. Have submitted a report every time.
Have just created the olm and quit Microsoft when I get this message. Have a POP account.
Have rebuilt the database using Database Utility a couple of times, but am still getting the error.
Is anyone else having this problem? Does it have something to do with the Yosemite upgrade and/or the Office 2011 - 14.5.0 update?
Hi,
I'm using Outlook for Mac Version 15.10.0, when I compose an emails and either CC or add email addresses To when the email is sent the recipients don't see that anyone else was CC'd into the email almost as if I have BCC people into the email. I have also tried adding people to the To field but with the same result.
Is this a known bug in Outlook for Mac Version 15.10.0?
Thanks,
Darren
Outlook 2011 for MAC V 14.5.0 (150423) OSX 10.9.5
I have set up a rule in Outlook 2011 on my new MacBook Pro to copy items I send through my Exchange account to "Sent Items(On My Computer)". The rule looks fine and the Sent Items(On My Computer) is definitely ticked in the rule but my sent emails get copied to the Inbox instead. Has anyone else hit this problem please.
Thanks
After the recent update to v14.5.0, Outlook for Mac (Office 2011 installed on MacOS 10.10.3) stopped displaying the main screens upon opening - no inbox, calendar, etc. and the launch bar icon no longer shows message counts or new email. There is no obvious way to open these windows (nothing in the Window menu) and some menus won't even pull down (e.g., sometimes the View menu just stops working)
I have tried both rebuilding the Office Database and deleting the preferences files in the Library directory, rebooting, etc. Various Internet search have neither revealed exactly these symptoms nor problems relating to this recent update. I was only able to repair the issue by reinstalling Office entirely (vs. just Outlook). The new install worked for 2 days and then failed again with the same symptoms.
There is no issue with the exchange server - I can retrieve my email, calendars, etc. from the web interface.
Any help appreciated.
My Outlook 2011 had its six monthly flip out this morning.
I followed some of the tips, tested the identity, moved the preferences around, restored Outlook itself from Time Machine and eventually did so much damage I couldn't even open the disk utility.
I reinstalled Office, Outlook opened but was reverting to an identity from 2013 (missing calendar and contacts). I used Time Machine to 'restore' the main identity from the last backup (Monday 18 May). However this Main Identity appears to be from a rebuild in January 2015, the main inbox functions as is imap but the calendar and contacts only run up to the January rebuild date.
I thought Time Machine would make it easy to deal with this kind of problem and I would happily turn the clock back on my whole system to Mon 18th (something IT used to be able to do in my old job). Am I doing it right?
If I've rebuilt my main identity as much as is possible how can i retrieve and install my up-to-date calendar, contacts, signatures, etc?
Thanks
Hi
<MS Outlook 2010 v14.5.0 (up to date) for Mac with Yosemite OS on MacBook Air> NOTE I HAVE MS OUTLOOK 2010 NOT '2011'
When opening Outlook, the programme opens but i can't see/get to the home page. The bar with Outlook 'File', 'Edit' 'View' etc options is visible and i can select options such as new message, which works. But the home page is nowhere to be seen.
I've tried...
-Option alt to rebuild several times
-Deleting from library/preferences the 'microsoftpreferences file' - had to re-enter security key
Suspect it's a preferences setting somewhere in Mac OS or Outlook but could be a corruption somewhere.
All other MS apps work fine (Office, Excel)
I saw the 2012 thread on this issue noting solutions above but no joy.
Really don't want to re-install Office.
Any suggestions?
Richard
Here is an issue I am having, the emails are in my Sent Items folder on my Outlook 2011 do not sync up to my IMAP server. I am using Go Daddy as my IMAP provider (wonder if this is an Go Daddy issue). My Outlook Sent Item folder continuously shows "Sent Item: Uploading... 0/1693" but nothing get uploaded.
Here is something interesting I noticed, on my Outlook Client I have 3004 emails in my Sent Item folder, on my Go Daddy Webmail, I have 1311 emails in the Sent Item folder and the difference between the two is exactly 1693 (which are pending sync from my Outlook).
So in other words emails sent from my Webmail and iPhone sync down to Outlook, but emails sent from my Outlook doesn't sync up to the server.
Looking for some help from the gurus and experts.
Best regards!
I have been using Outlook 2011 Mac on my MacBook to connect to my corporate Exchange server for a couple of years. I also connect using an iPhone and and iPad. It has been working fine until recently, when I tried to add my Exchange email account to my new iMac (also running Outlook 2011 Mac). My account added successfully, but I cannot get any new emails. My Inbox will have all my up to the time of my adding the account, but no new emails will show on either my MacBook or the iMac. What's weird is that my iPhone and iPad will works. I can also send out emails from the MacBook and iMac.
I've already try completely removing Office 2011 Mac from the iMac and reinstalling. Made no difference. I've also tried doing a Identity database rebuild. No help. I then added a co-worker's email account. Guess what? It works fine!
So, why is Outlook not liking my Exchange account? Is it too big? (I do have quite a lot of emails. My mailbox size on the server is about 5GB.) If this is what's causing the problem, what's the threshold? How much do I need to reduce on my mailbox? Also, the MacBook was working just fine until I added my account on the iMac, which tells me that it was unlikely a size issue.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
