I am on a mac using Outlook 14.5.2, and there is an issue that drives me crazy that I never had before. It used to work fine. Attachments now take an extremely long time to download, no matter the size.
If I receive an email with an attachment and I click on that email, Outlook begins to start downloading those attachments, and that can take anywhere from 30 seconds to over a minute for the attachment to download, even if the file is smaller that 50kbs!

This never happened before.  I used to be able to click an email and immediately open the attachment without having to wait for Outlook to download it.

Can anyone help me please?

Im running on Mac OS X 10.7.5 (I had a mac specialist come in and he doesn't know either!)

Hi,

I'm using the most up-to-date version of Office for Mac 2011. For the past year, I've used it without any problems to download/sync mail from two Gmail accounts (using IMAP) and one ATT account (using POP).

But a week ago (Monday, July 20), Outlook started crashing every time the mail accounts tried to sync, displaying the message: "Microsoft Outlook must be closed because an error occurred." By the process of elimination I've figured out that Outlook only crashes when it tries to sync to my work Gmail account (which is administered by my employer.) My personal Gmail account, which is linked to the work one, still syncs to Outlook just fine. The ATT account syncs fine, too.

I thought maybe the problem was related to Gmail's switch to "OAuth2" this summer, which I hear isn't supported by Outlook. But Outlook still crashes even when I turn off "2-step verification" for both accounts and set them to work with less secure apps.

Any suggestions? Thanks for your time.

I have two urgent issues:

1. I have two email accounts on my iPhone, i-Pad, and Mac computer. As of yesterday, I am able to receive emails from only one of the accounts on my computer; I am not able to see any emails from my default account. So, I can see emails from both accounts on my i-Phone and i-Pad, but not on my computer.

2. Currently, I cannot send emails from my I-Pad  -  just from my i-Phone.

Please help me ASAP as I need to be able to review and send out documents from my computer default email account.

What can I do to fix these two issues?

Office 2013 is tied to exchange.  Does anyone out there have a step by step tutorial?  I'm hoping to make this switch without the help of our IT department.

Thank you in advance!

My outlook 2011 on mac is in a very strange state after I accidentally deleted all the the files in my home folder (oops).

I can't do any quick searches. All searches return no results. This is not the case on outlook web version, searches return fine there. I have tried rebuilding the database several times. I even created a new identity, set it as default, and setup the exchange again from scratch, but i'm running to the same issue. Very interestingly, there are no files in the Identities folder:

685b35a593c2% ls ~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2011 Identities/Main Identity
685b35a593c2%

also, the new identities I create don't get any folders or files in this location.

Please help!

I am having an issue with my Outlook for Mac showing sent items before 7/17 as the GUID address.

This is isolated to all emails before 7/17, and only for Mac computers. OWA works fine, PCs operate fine.

We (my business) host our exchange email through go daddy, and recently went through a change from one account to another. So the emails had to be backed up via a PC using .pst files. Once the files were exported, the email address deleted and the new account created. I was able to import all of the .pst files to their respective email addresses.

The current issue started after this change. It is isolated only to Mac outlook on Mac. The issue also appears in the Mac Mail app.

I have tried recreating the email account in Outlook, no luck. I have spoken with Go Daddy for many hours and they do not have a solution for me.

I am happy to answer any questions to help clarify this issue. I am looking to fix the way that outlook sees these sent emails and change them from the GUID to the proper *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.

I recently upgraded to Yosemite which moved from iPhoto to the new photo app. Now even though I can see all my photos (old and new) when I open the app, I can't find them when I try to attach to an Outlook message. When I try to attach either using the Attach paperclip or the Photo icon, I get the same error message which is "no media is found".  Thanks for any help you can provide.

I am using the latest version of Outlook for Mac.

The transition from Entourage to Outlook has been extremely painful for this reason:

The flags in the UI are so small, they may as well not exist. So small they disappear under the scroll bar when scrolling down the inbox list.

I don't want to use folders, I don't want to have to switch to view all flagged items, or some calender todo list.  I just want to clearly see which items I need to action when I scroll back through the last couple of days (which I have always previously done with flagging emails in a single click).

Is there a way to highighted the whole cell when flags are activated so it's coloured? I can't see how to create a rule for this.

I have tried every email app for Mac - nothing will allow me to have an inbox list, with flags/colours. Frustrating...

Can anyone please help?

Thanks

Since getting a new update (i think) on my macbook air for Outlook, once it tries to sync my new emails it comes up with an error. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do and how to fix this problem? Please see attached screengrab. Thanks in advance.

Hi All,

I would like to ask if there is a way resolve my current signature font change issue. The Outlook for Mac version I am using is 14.5.3.

I have tried multiple methods to create/input my signature including;

Directly into email preferences

Text Editor

Word Document

Copy and Paste from other existing emails

My issue only occurs when trying to reply to an email, it will change from the default font size 10 or 12 to size 16.  If I change the size of the email signature in my draft email back to size 10 or 12, the recipient still receives it as size 16.  It doesn’t happen when I respond to everyone – but it is consistent in that it always happens for certain recipients.

Thank-you very much!
