All of a sudden my folders in Outlook 2011 stopped updating and what I mean by that is I renamed a bunch of them, added a few, and put numbers in names of others so that they would appear higher up in my folder tree. On my Windows machine they updated fine in Outlook. On my iPhone and iPad they updated fine as well, but on my MacBook Air in Outlook 2011 they have not updated.

I have installed the latest update to my Office 2011 for Mac software, restarted Outlook and restarted my computer. Still, they don't want to update. I suppose my last resort is to rebuild my database, but that takes forever. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm working off Exchange 2013. My mailbox database is over 40GB and I have many folders and subfolders, but they are NOT sub-folders of my Inbox. In the past they all just updated fine, but suddenly they didn't.

DoD uses CAC as the form for logging in, authenticating and encrypting emails. I'm currently using an Apple Macbook Air with Mac OS X (Yosemite) that's enabled for CAC use. I have successfully logged in to various government DoD websites with my CAC. Successfully digitally signed and encrypted emails to several people.

However, when someone encrypt an email, my Outlook does not decrypt correctly.  Instead, the message reads "This message can't be decrypted because your private key is not valid or is missing from this computer." is seen. The same email is successfully decrypted/viewed on Apple Mail.

Under the 2011 Outlook email Account --> Advance --> Security Tab, the Digital Signature and Encryption is setup to use my CAC certificate. Is there's a setting that needs to be done for 2011 Outlook to use the CAC for decryption rather than searching through Mac OS system?

The 'Send & Receive All' schedule is set for every 10 minutes seems to work normally & correctly.

However, all the emails get downloaded repeatedly about every hour ignoring the fact that they have already been downloaded.

Does anyone know how to address this problem?

I am using Outlook 2011 for Mac.

iTunes just froze up on me, so I did a force quit and restarted my computer. Now iTunes works fine, but EVERY EMAIL and EVERY EMAIL folder and EVERY EMAIL ACCOUNT I had in Outlook DISAPPEARED!

Can ANYONE help?!?!?

I have read similar threads and evidently Microsoft has been of NO help whatsoever. PLEASE help me restore my emails. I've just lost 7 years of business and personal correspondence!

(Background...

For the past few days, the search function hasn't worked: e.g. if I want to see every email from Dorothy and type in the name, no results are found, even though I have dozens of emails to and from Dorothy. Other than that, Outlook appeared to be behaving normally.)

How do I put all of my emails both old backed up ones and new ones coming in, onto my Outlook on my Mac laptop? I have this set up properly onto my mac desktop, but how do I get my old emails from my Outlook on my mac desktop to also appear on my mac laptop when I open up Outlook?

I have no issues receiving and sending out new emails since I made the switch to office 365 but I just can't figure out a way to transfer the old backed up emails onto the laptop Outlook.

Please help me!! Thanks :)

Hello

I was wondering if someone can assist me with a reoccurring issue I have been having all week. This would be very much appreciated as I have been so stressed about this all week! :(

Everything below is based on performing on a MAC computer:

I have all of my old emails in Outlook backed up before I switched to the new Office 365. When I exported my emails and saved the .olm file onto my desktop, I was told to import that file back onto Outlook and then those old emails (the ones backed up onto Outlook originally) should show up on my Office 365 as well.

I have tried so many different solutions to fix this and make it work as nothing happens when the import happens. All emails end up being in the same place as before without any changes and then only new emails keep coming into both Outlook and Office 365 from the minute I made the switch.

How can I get my old emails that I backed up onto my Outlook to appear on my Office 365 as well? Outlook has both old backed up emails and new emails coming in but Office 365 only has the new ones.

What I have tried and still didn't work:

1. Creating a new identity and doing the import and export again through that identity

2. Overriding the original export with a new one that I redid and importing that again

3. Searching in "On my computer" to get the files but it constantly appears as being empty

Can you please help me!!?? :(

Thanks

Joanna
