Hotmail/live stopped for some accounts at 10AM 1/8/2013, Why?

One hotmail/live account stopped working this morning. Been trying to regain access but unable. My account on Hotmail is functioning without problem, the one my wife uses gives the following error message: 

 

Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail (name of user) account. To send and receive messages in your Hotmail account, go to http://hotmail.live.com on the Web, or try again later. To get help from Windows Live Customer Support, go to http://support.live.com and click Windows Live Mail in the list of services.

No indication of a problem I can find in the support areas.

I tried to access her account on my computer where my Hotmail account works but I receive the same error as with her system. Problem is not computer related.

What the heck is going on with msn,com email?

 I can get to my hotmail.com mail but not msn..com. It says that there is no service, try later.  This happened yesterday and today.  I did get a chance to log in to msn.com after midnight this morning but signed out til 10am and had the same no service message.

What's going on? How do I speak to someone who can help

Hola, desde el 7 de Enero de este año no puedo leer el correo electronico, todo lo demas funciona pero no puedo entrar a la bandeja de entrada, ni enviar ni nada que tenga que ver con correos electronicos.

CANNOT GET INTO HOTMAIL TO OPEN MY MAIL!!!!!

Problème avec Windows Live Mail.

Depuis le début décembre 2012.  Je ne peux reçevoir ou envoyer des messages électroniques à mes contacts avec Windows Live Mail et Skide Drive, dont je ne peux ouvrir les photos que je reçois et ne peux en envoyer.  J'ai déjà rencontrer ces problèmes auparavant.

Le numéro d'erreur qui m'apparaît quand j'ouvre mes messages ou envoie des messages avec Windows Live Mail est: Ox800488849

Pourriez-vous y remédier S'il-Vous-Plaît? C'est très désagréable. Souvent j'ai communiqué ce problème à Micosoft.
