I am quite disappointed in the lack of help we get from Microsoft Windows 8  Hp and xbox 350... I have been complaining for months that I am unable to get xbox 360...I keep getting response that if I sign into Microsoft account I will automatically get XBOX 360.. It has not done so yet...I think we got ourselves a real big expensive lemon
I am having the exact same problem and going around in circles with Microsoft's verify form.

There is no email or number to talk to someone to give details to verify you as the owner, just the damn form that asks for information that can be changed by the hackers..no ISP of the computer you most use to access your email,... or which browser you regularly use,... no way of sending your ID.

The whole procedure is retarded that the owner is treated like the criminal and the damn hackers get away with it!!!  I keep getting the same email back with the ridiculous solution of "open another account" are you kidding!!!!

Your security is important to us
Recently, we received several requests to gain access to *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. Unfortunately, we were unable to verify your ownership using the information that was provided. Microsoft takes the security and privacy of our customers very seriously. Now what?
Because there have been multiple unsuccessful recovery attempts for this account, we recommend at this point that you create a new account. It's quick and easy, and we have tools to help you import contacts, connect with Facebook, and even receive messages from multiple email accounts.

On Friday, 7/19/13 my Office Outlook 2003 (Win 7 Home Premium) stopped being able to contact outlook.com.

The error I get -
Task 'xxxxxxxx - Receiving' reported error (0x80042108) : 'Outlook is unable to connect to your incoming (POP3) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

I am configured to use pop3.live.com port 995 using SSL and smtp.live.com port 587 using SSL. I was able to send and receive email from Office Outlook 2003 prior to Friday, although it was frequently flakey. I have not changed any email settings that I am aware of. At first I thought I had perhaps changed a firewall setting or something. But then I noticed that my Android 4.1.2 phone email also is unable to reach the servers. It was configured similarly as my Outlook 2003.

I have contacted my ISP and they claim that they are doing nothing that would block access to the servers. Any ideas from the community? Thanks.

I have a Hotmail account that I haven't used in over a year and there is one Picture in an email that I would give anything to retrieve!

I can log into the account but there are no emails in any of the folders!

Is there anyway to retrieve these old emails?

Now that Microsoft in their "wisdom" has stopped letting me have my 2 email addresses linked (which is a huge pain and unnecessary), I'm thinking of combining the accounts as having the second email address as an Alias.

When I try I get the following error message "This email address is part of a reserved domain such as live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Please enter a different email address.". I have no idea what this means and how can I link them?

(I am also baffled on what the difference between "Mail" and "Outlook.com" are and the Topics aren't helpful either when creating this board, yet it insists on forcing me to pick one, so this could end up in completely the wrong area)
Can anyone help me I cannot get into outlook with my hotmail address now since they took over. Chris
How do I retrieve the important documents and threads in Hotmail. com  Contacts, addresses, etc.  There was no notice that my emails forwarded to hotmail were not retrieveable or the account was being converted to Microsoft Outlook.  Please advise.  I attempted to use functions, but it asked for an administrator password?
