Delivery Failure Notification for emails I did not send

This morning I received a postmaster delivery failure notification telling me that emails I had sent to about 20 people, mostly Spanish, had failed to be delivered. I did not send any of these emails. Have I been hacked, and if so what can I do. I am a pensioner and have only basic computer skills

How do I set my settings to send AND receive?

I found a page where it says on my profile that my account is set to "Send only". Lost the page and cant find it again. This must be the reason I can only send mail.

I have a Hotmail account and I am using Windows 8.1 with IE 11.


Your advice says to select Tools/Options then Mail Alerts.

Unfortunately, when I select Tools the only choice I get is More Mail Settings.

This gives me a page with many choices.......I have gone through every single one of these and cannot find any Alert choices.

I have not been receiving e-mails in my *** Email address is removed for privacy *** account since last Thursday, 31st October 2013 however, I am able to send e-mails from this account. 

no sound notification on message arrival

Outlook will not give me any sound notification of a new message. My samsung galaxy tablet used to do this with my origional Email while in standby mode IE- not closed down. I used to have a file called microsoft exchange but it became greyed out and now has gone? If this notification should work then i need a list of how to set this up.

Unable to receive emails for other accounts

I am only getting emails of sent from another hotmail account , anything from yahoo or iCloud etc is not being received
I have checked mobile device and also web based mail and nothing being pushed through ?
Any help appreciated  

Recovery of deleted a/c and/or demerge apps from deleted a/c

Dear's, please help me either to recover my deleted Microsoft a/c ( *** Email address is removed for privacy *** ) or if not possible help t demerge / delink all associated apps so I can now merge/link them to my new Microsoft a/c.

At present unable to use my Skype A/c as linked to deleted a/c. Should be a way out rather creating a new a/c in Skype

Cannot receive mails, only from Outlook itself

I can send mails, but do not receive any. I checked in the junk mail, but it only says that "I've got no mail, and that Microsoft Smart screen is helping to keep junk mail from my inbox"....is this the problem?
I've checked and I've got no rules set to delete messages.

Why am I only receiving mails from Outlook, is this then a setting that must be changed to allow all other mails to come through?
