I had American Airlines email me the calendar information for my flights and the emails arrived in my inbox with a calendar icon next to them but I can't figure out how to import them into my calendar.
For the past 12 years, I have sent emails to an organization I belong to that has about 110 people. I never had problems sending emails to any of them while I was on Hotmail. A week or so ago, I sent (on Outlook), I received a delivery notification on 8 of them. “Your message couldn’t be delivered to the following recipients: reason: over quota.” Several days later, I sent another e-mail. The exact same 8 recipients were returned! Today I sent a single e-mail to one of those 8 whose eimail had been returned, and it was returned: over quota. What’s going on?
I'm transferring my own domain to outlook.com. I've just about completed this process and are now setting up the couple of email accounts that I want on this domain.
For one of the accounts I'm getting the error "That account name is not allowed for use with this service". Just before I got this error, I also got a message stating that:
A Microsoft account already exists with this account name. This was likely an account that was used before the domain was using this service.
You may import the account or you may evict this account and create a new account with this name. If you evict the account, the name may not be available for reuse for up to 60 days to protect the previous member's privacy.
I noticed that there are a few other people on this forum with the same issue. In those cases you raised a support ticket and had their issue resolved. Can I please get you to do the same and resolve the issue for me. I see that you usually create a private area to post the details so I will wait to get that before I provide the details to you.
Thank you.

Recently my email account *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and my wife's *** Email address is removed for privacy *** became entangled, such that mail addressed to her is now placed in my inbox on top of my previously received emails, and when I sent a message, although on the new (compose) page it appeared to be sent by palmerrh@msn, in the recipient's inbox, the email appeared to becoming from *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.
I updated the email account by installing a fresh copy of the program, but it did not resolved the entanglement, and may have increased it. This program does not apparently give the user access to the account server and address settings, otherwise I could go through the parameters and correct them.
The errors have only been noticed (so far) in the *** Email address is removed for privacy *** account and not in the *** Email address is removed for privacy *** account.
I tried resetting my account under an outlook program, which worked ok until some diligent Microsoft live team scrubbed them - these guys have an identifying email sender address, but aparently not the same inbox - so they can send programs, but one cannot send responses - most irritating.
Anyway, I do not like outlook, because the available commands are limited, and many can only be accessed from pulldown menus, even though there is plenty of room on the Tool Bar for them.
If Microsoft wants to issue a new OS, they should issue a current XPpro (with the pages of security add-ons that I have in mine already installed). I do not think W8 is for me, as I don't want to touch the (23.5" wide) screen that I have, and I prefer XP to W7.
This current email problem is sufficiently irritating that I am driven to find a solution which gives clean results - I have thought of taking the email program off my computer, handling all emails on an iPad, which may be the best answer - although with some procedural complications for attachments.
