Hello,

 

My account has been hacked, I get an error saying " it looks like someone else is using your account, we need to verify the account belongs to u "

It asks for a security code to verify, however, I cannot use that option because the email id to which code is sent has expired.

 

I tried submitting the form 4-5 time but it did not help.

 

Please help as the hacked account Is my primary account and I have sensitive information on it.

This domain name can't be used because it contains a protected word or inappropriate language.

I am trying to register kuntau.org to the Microsoft Domain services but get the following error message.

 

This domain name can't be used because it contains a protected word or inappropriate language. Please contact support if you feel this is not the case.

 

The domain refers to a type of Martial Arts in Asia. I cannot see that the domain contains any protected or inappropriate words.

 

Please can you update your systems to allow this.

Cannot recover account

I am trying to recover the password for an old email account and I am stuck at what seems to be a very serious security roadblock. Outlook directs me to some kind of form that requires me to fill in certain information such as name, birth date, country/region. Now those are all good and fine but apparently that is not enough and it also wants things I simply do not remember, like passwords used, subjects of your recently sent emails, names of any folders you've created, other than default folders, and email addresses of contacts you've recently sent emails to.

After filling out what I could, this is the response I got:

We recently received a request to recover your Microsoft account *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. Unfortunately, we were unable to verify your ownership of this account using the information you provided. Microsoft takes the security and privacy of your personal information very seriously, and we are committed to protecting the personal information of customers. We have taken the additional step of blocking your account *** Email address is removed for privacy *** until we can verify you as the account owner. This will prevent any further use of the account, and protect you from any possible malicious activity.

I understand the need for security and all but this is driving me nuts. I need to recover the password to this account as well as the account itself so I can check ONE email that was sent there recently. Unfortunately I cannot have this particular email sent to my new account so I need to get into my old one. The problem is that it has literally been YEARS since I've actually tried logging in as I really only had the account created to fulfill the typical requirements for signing up on various websites and programs, and on top of that, I used to have the password and login info for it set to auto when I actually DID need to check anything inside, which is why I can't remember half the information this form is asking me for. What do I need to do to prove I am who I say I am and can someone PLEASE help me recover my password/account?

How long do deleted items stick around?

I keep running into a problem searching my deleted items folder in Outlook.com. I use Outlook 2013 with an outlook.com email address.


How long are message kept around before they are purged, and can I adjust that amount of time?

Cannot insert attachments to email

Running Win7, SP1 with IE10.  Followed previous threads and did ALL they are asking to clean up the issue with not being able to attach files and nothing is fixing the issue.  It was working fine, and then just decided to stop working.

 

HELP!  Im dead in the water without this!

The problem is a problem of you with the Outlook.com's Out of office reply. Yes, I have problems with that, but I am here to help you Microsoft to fix a problem with your Outlook.com emailservers.


And let we have a deal. No messages via Private Messages, everything via this open forum. So everyone can get his benefit with the information.

I have stated it in my email. The solution is maybe a Little Small Configuration Setting in your emailservers config...

I've searched the faq's for how to log out of Windows Live Mail and most suggest clicking on the username on the right and selecting sign out.  When I click on my user name I don't have the sign out option!  Can anyone help me - I need to be able to sign out so no one else can look at my emails on this computer.  Thanks.
