I had two Outlook.com accounts and I have deleted one and have tried to add an alias that was attached to the deleted account to my other account, however when I do this I receive the following message:
This email address is already taken. Please try another one.
It is not, as I have already deleted the old account and can no longer log on to it. I have waited several days to see if it would resolve itself but it hasn't.
Please let me know what I can do to resolve this issue?

I have an Outlook.com / Live account that I set up so that I could log on to Windows 8 am now using another one that I set up previously and therefore would like to delete it. However whenever I use the 'Close Account' option I get the following message:
You need to cancel any paid services or Microsoft Points account associated with your Microsoft account.
I followed the link which takes me to my subscriptions but I do not have any and I do not have any points.
I would be grateful if someone from Microsoft could please advise me what I need to do.

Looking for any help to try and manage my accounts, only want 1 account so is there any way that I can merge my Hotmail.com account with my outlook.com one?
