I have upgraded(?) to Windows 10 and now my Windows Live 2011 is not functioning properly.
Of course when I attempt to use the Live 2012 update I get the error message that Live 2012 is not found.
How do I upgrade to Live 2012 when I am still being billed ($19.95) for Live 2011?
Is there a way to eliminate the "All Contacts" list, but place your contacts in a special contacts list? In order to try to fool email spoofing?
How can I delete a category in the Contact section?

I have been working quite happily with Windows Live Mail for over 4 years. Last Friday (having been using the live mail that morning) I had to close my computer and after reopening I am unable to access stored contact, create contacts, read e-mails saved in My Documents and to delete e-mails from the list downloaded from my servers.
I tried to restore to an earlier time that morning and the problem wasn't solved. I have then uninstalled Windows live mail and Windows essentials and reinstalled them with no improvement. I run a volunteer organisation on this system and an totally at a loss as who to do next. I've read that the Windows essential/Live Mail system might be corrupted and need to be defragged using cmd.exe but am unable to find the links quoted because in stead of C:Windowssystem32> I see C:UsersMy Name> with the C:WindowsSystem32> at the top of the box showing the computer system details not at a place where I can add the defrag link. Could someone please help me with how to perform the defrag on my system which is Microsoft Windows (Version 6.1 7601)?
