In Windows Live Mail under Drafts and also the subfolders under drafts . . . they are disappearing.

I have a new desktop Dell Windows 10 computer for about 5 weeks. The "Drafts" and subfolders underneath have disappeared 3 times.

I have to import them back from the exterior hard drive from the old computer back up.

Of course, I have added new ones since, of which I have lost entirely.

Why is the saved emails stored in the drafts disappearing?

My real problem is that I cannot search and select for print multiple emails in hotmail. In looking for a solution I found a suggestion that it could be done if I installed Windows Essential Mail from this site:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/essentials

I downloaded the installation executable and did a "custom install" of Windows Mail only - after about 10 minutes the download completed with a successful installation but I cannot find it in my list of programs or all programs. A search of my computer finds directories labeled "Windows Mail" but I am still not sure how to start the program or if it will even do as I hope which is to connect to my Hotmail and allow me to search and select multiple emails to print.

Can anyone help me with this problem?

I regularly send the same email with minor changes using drafts that I keep in the WLM Drafts folder.  I've been doing this for years without problems but, last week, these emails began to be rejected with the following report :

Server Error: 550

Server Response: 550 This message was classified as SPAM and may not be delivered

Server: ' (*************) '                            (*Not shown for security)

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC69

    Protocol: SMTP

    Port: 25

    Secure(SSL): “

If I copy the email and paste it into a new email, it then sends without a problem.  My ISP seems to be unable to help and I'm now thinking it's a WLM issue resulting from a recent update........?  Any help would be appreciated.

I have Windows Live Mail and Windows 10 using POP.  Every now and then an alternate account and all of its files disappears from Live Mail.  What causes this and how do I get  it back?  My default account doesl not disappear.

I have windows 10 with Windows Live Mail 10, my OS is Windows 7.

I am having problems with my Windows Live email application, at least I think that's the cause of the problem. I have contacted my server to see if their server was failing to delete my emails after downloading, they said they checked and the problem is not on their end as the emails do not duplicate on the server. I have 16 email addresses, 3 of which are live.com addresses, 2 MSN/hotmail accounts, 1 ymail account, 1 gmail account, 1 myspace account, and the rest of the accounts are through my server (embarqmail/CenturyLink)  ... there are no duplicate accounts, I checked today to be sure.

I receive 2-4 copies of all my incoming emails; I deleted over 1,000 duplicate emails on Feb 10th, deleted them from my junk folder and deleted them from my deleted folder. I have done this repeatedly in the past also. But when my email program, Windows Live Mail, checks for emails again the deleted files are downloaded in my email program again ... I keep deleting the files but they dont appear to get deleted on the server ... please help. I am drowning in duplicate files ...

The server tech gave me a website to check my Windows Live Mail settings, but when I follow the posted procedure (http://internethelp.centurylink.com/internethelp/email-setup-in-windows-mail-edit-settings-1.html) I cant click on properties as it is grayed out.

Thank you for any help you are able to offer ...

In the past, I could export all my email in various folders.  Now, it will only export one email.

I am using Windows Live Mail Build 16.4.3528.0331 and Windows 8.1 and Internet Explorer 11.  I have installed all the Windows 8.1 updates.

I uninstalled McAfee.

I uninstalled Windows Live Mail with the following command:
c:program files (x86)windows liveinstallerwlarp.exe" /cleanup:all /q

I reinstalled Windows Live Mail from Microsoft's web site.

I created a new administrative user in Windows 8.1.  I started email and did not setup any email accounts.  I typed three draft emails and saved them in the storage folders drafts folder.  When I try to export all the folders, only one mail gets exported.

I performed a clean boot of Windows:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929135

I disconnected from the wireless network.

Here's how I do an export:
For a successful export, follow these guidelines:
1.Set Windows Live Mail to Work offline¹ before starting.
2.Create a temporary folder on your desktop² to contain the exported messages.
3.In the Export wizard, select the temporary folder and select All folders ³.
4.When it's finished, check that the number of files in each folder within the temporary folder is one more than the number of messages in the corresponding folder in Windows Live Mail.
5.Copy the temporary folder to its final destination

In Windows Live Mail when I click on Working Online on the status bar, it changes to Working Offline.  Then I click on File, Export Email.  But when I click on Email Messages, the status bar changes to Working Online.

How can I get it to export all my email?

How do I download an email attachment to a thumb drive?  I have a video attachment I want to save, but don't know how to get it on a thumb drive.

Original Title: Sent email from WLM2012 has disappeared

I sent an email and could see that it left the Outbox, but it does not appear in Sent items.

Have checked all folders but it is nowhere to be found. I removed the default account and added it again but the same problem occurs again.

Can anybody help.

My saga continues...any more suggestions out there.

How do I stop multiple copies of messages coming in...every hour or so messages will come in even though I have deleted them and then emptied the Deleted items folder. If I do not make a determined effort ewach day then the numbers build up very quickly. Have already responded to several hints and tips.

I am running Windows Live Mail on a new computer with Windows 10.  When writing an e-mail, I have changed the size and style of the font to what I prefer, but, after completing the message and beginning a new one, it reverts back to the default setting.  Can't figure out how to make my change "stick."

Moved from Windows 10
