I am trying to delete some folders in Windows Mail that I no longer need.
I get the error message "Unable to delete the folder. Try updating the folder list and try again."
How do I do that, please????

I've had no trouble with Windows Mail 2011 (running with Windows 10) up to now; but just switched from Comcast as ISP to CenturyLink DSL; now Windows Mail will not open. Other Windows Live programs (Photo Gallery, Movie Maker) seem to work fine. Any thoughts?

When I start Windows Live mail 2012 I get the above message. The problem just started this afternoon. I did a repair but the problem stays the same. I installed the patch in December and windows live stopped working . I had to do a repair and it has worked
until now. I am running Windows 10. I need access to my e-mail. Can anyone help
My Windows live mail is receiving messages but it won't let me create new messages or reply to messages in my in box. No error number. Just says - A problem occurred replying to or forwarding this message.

I am running Windows 7 and Windows Essentials 2012 (Windows Live Mail Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3564.1216)).
Ever since the upgrade at the end of last year (2015) WLM has been very fragile. I have followed your advice and run the Windows Essentials repair tool. WLM then works for between a few minute or a few hours before crashing again.
Also since the upgrade calendars do not [always] sync with mobile devices.
It would appear from your various fora that I am not the only one experiencing this problem.
Please advise if there is a fix likely to be available in the immediate future?
How do I stop this message. It is really annoying.
