After launching my Windows Live Mail, it only goes as far as "receiving list of messages" and then freezes bringing up error 0x800CCC13 without downloading any messages. Should I uninstall it and reload?
Whilst organising and deleteing mails from my Windows LiveMail account, the programme stopped and restarted. Upon re-start all the deleted/moved mails appeared back in the inbox. When I try to delete them I get the 'unknown error' message. I've tried to run a repair on Windows Essentials but this does not fix the problem.
For some reason, yesterday all of my facebook friends appeared on my email contact list. I want to delete them from my address book but am not able to do so. Can someone tell me how to do this please?

I have two questions in relation to Windows Live Mail

1. For the past 3 weeks I have not been receiving email messages automatically, I have to "sync all email accounts" in order for the emails to come through?

2. For the past 3 weeks also, many senders that I have previously blocked are now getting through to my inbox. I have retried blocking them many times.

Any help is much appreciated, thanks.

How do I find out what the program functionality of live mail is, what it does and how I do it.

Or do Microsoft expect me to be a mind-reader, or spend months on forums asking questions about simple tasks and applications within the program?

As it is, I'm unable to work out how to do things unless I can work out all the hidden stuff - half of which I can't find.

So user help pages will be very helpful - I'm assuming they are hidden, since you don't buy an automobile without a handbook - and as WLM is a little more complex, it will have those pages I'm looking for. Seems kind of stupid if they don't exist :) Why wouldn't they include them in the program? Its such a simple answer to so many problems

Thanks

I use Windows Live Mail for all of my email needs.  IE is my default browser.  Up until the last update I was having no difficulty and then all of a sudden the work off line tab is stuck on on and I am unable to send or receive mail using Windows Live mail.  I checked, Work off line is not checked in IE.  I looked up all comments on this subject and have done everything, including deleting the email account and re-opening it.  Since I have changed nothing prior to this occurring I can't help but think it happened with the update.  How can I resolve this issue so I can go back to using Windows live Mail.

Thank you

Hello.

I am using Windows Live Mail 2011 - Build 15.4.3555.0308, Windows version 7 Home Premium service pack 1.

Like many other posts that I have read, one day all my personal email folders had disappeared. I have tried suggestions from the Forum, including the one suggesting ALT M with / but the 'Layout' option didn't materialise.

I'm really out of ideas now. Has anyone got a possible answer please? I've tried to give as much information as I can about my software etc at the top of this submission.

Thank you.

I am running Windows 8.1 with Windows Live Mail as my desktop e-mail client. What should the ideal default encoding setting be so that there’s no need to constantly change the setting to be able to make some messages fully readable.

Currently my default setting is Windows European (Windows) but frequently, unless I change the encoding to Unicode UTF-7 or Unicode UTF-8 or Windows European (ISO), the text is embedded here and there with some funny symbols which I find most annoying.  Is there anyway to avoid this.  Even if I have any one of the other encoding as the default, the same thing happens.  I only receive e-mails from U.S.A. and U.K. addresses in English, so what could be the problem?

And as regards message fonts, why is it that whenever messages are printed, the size of the font on the printed text is quite small and different.  For example, on my old computer running Windows XP with Outlook Express, if the text font of the same message is say ARIAL, 12pt, then it prints as such and appears as such on the screen.  But on my new computer running Windows 8.1 with Windows Live Mail, whenever I print messages written say with CALIBRI 14pt font. the size of the font of the text is extremely small and hardly resembling the CALIBRI font. On the screen, however, the text is correctly displayed as on my old computer.

Is there an explanation and how can this be rectified?    All responses would be appreciated.
