I have Windows 7 64 bit, WLM 2012.

Tried control panel solution to repair Windows Essentials components- no changes, still does not receive or send.

Added another account - now I have two or three of everything and none of the accounts receive or send.

Tried unistall, reinstall WLM - no changes. still does not receive or send

Tried uninstall, reinstall Windows Essentials - no changes still does not receive or send

deleted duplicate account - still does not receive or send.

Deleted WLM account, then reinstalled WLM, and added my account again and now have two of everything, plus lost some folders and all contacts.

I can send and receive on Hotmail on line, however the email folders will not sync between on line Outlook and WLM, nor will the contacts.

Did an "SFC /SCANNOW and no problems were found.

when I click on ? in WLM, it brings me to Windows Movie Maker q and a on the web.

tried regedit solution given to similar problem (delete key "ssl.live.com_MBI_SSL) - there is no such key on my computer in "Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsofwindows Live\Communications Cl9ients\Shared\Policies"

Did another system restore today and now have three of everything.

all I wanted to do was update my profile and clicked on phone number. I forgotten that old information and the code I needed was sent to an old number. message was I would be locked out for 30 days. I desperately needed into my email so made an alias so maybe I could get into it.  Then I figured out my old information and set it all right. I go to get into my email address and set it back to my original address and it says my msn email can not be primary. I have had that email address  for 15 years. It identifies who I am on so many accounts its like losing my drivers license. HOW DO I GET MY MSN ADDRESS BACK. I did not give Microsoft permission to take my primary email away help

I connected with Skype so I could chat with Skype contacts from Live mail. When I did I ended up with 101 more contacts that are all phone numbers. It says network for each number. I am unable to delete any of them I uninstalled windows live and deleted every file I could find and I even went back to an earlier restore point but when I reinstalled window essentials the phone numbers still appear. Where are these numbers coming from and how do I get rid of then?

Recently moved from FL to SC.  Provider in FL (Brighthouse) was notified and that service was cancelled.  We now have a new provider (Time Warner) in SC.

We are unable to delete the FL Provider's email address from our live mail.  As a result, whenever we send an email, we MUST enter the entire SC email address, rather than it being an automatic step.  It also does not pick up in our address book.  We have tried but cannot find out how to get rid of the old providers address from our book.

As a matter of fact, we are unable to find out how to edit/delete any of our present addresses listed.  When someone notifies us of a change, we must add a new contact but are unable to get rid of the old one.  How can we accomplish this please???

We HAVE registered our new email address with Windows Live Mail.  WE would appreciate any help you could provide to us.

Windows Live Feedback: by Tom (aka Reallyoldguy)

Gentlemen,

For nearly three years Windows Live Mail has not reliably been able to forward emails that have pictures interspersed with the email text. The result is that the structure of the email is altered to such a degree that the overall email message is lost. This has led to much disappointment, frustration, anguish, and even hostility amongst many many Windows Live Email users. We feel as if we are being completely ignored and abandoned by Microsoft. Many have indicated that they changed from Windows Live Mail to some other non Microsoft email client. That is a shame.

I believe the Microsoft Forum Moderators  have not, will not, or cannot rectify this issue.

Microsoft, the ball is in your court. Can you, and will you fix this? If not, please tell us. Is there going to be an upgrade to Windows Live Mail? Is Windows Live Mail going to be replaced with a new improved email client? Is Windows Live Mail dying an unnatural death? Please tell us something. Please tell us anything.

The following are responses from Microsoft Forum Moderators. This is only a small sampling, typical, but by no means complete. Does anyone from Microsoft browse the Microsoft Community Forums? If Microsoft does, there is no indication that this is happening.

It appears that only specific images or emails are affected, likely due to the encoding used by those mail apps and we are still working on this one on how we can resolve this on Windows Live Mail future releases.
