Can anyone tell me why when I delete an email from my inbox the email following the one I deleted also gets deleted? Any fixes? I already performed a repair.

Windows Seven/64
Live Mail 11
My mail storage folder, %user/appdata/local/Microsoft/windows live mail% currently has about 3,500 edbXXXXX.log files some dating back almost 3 years. Not too concerned with space but they also appear to be playing havoc with my backups. Lots of info online re. this but all relating to %system32% etc. Nothing pertaining to Live Mail. Why are they building up?
Server: 'pop.att.yahoo.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F

I am able to get & receive messages on the main email address. I can't on this one. I have changed the
SMTP numbers. I'm not sure what the password is. I changed it to the one on the main acct. I just don't know what to do.
I haven't been into my account for several months and I just went in.... no more e-mails!!!! How do I recover my e-mails?
every time I try to sign into my windows live account I get this message.
Server error 0x80072EF3
Server 'https://mailserrvices.live.com/Deltasync_v2.0.0/sync.aspx'
Windows Live error ID 0x80072EF3.
Can someone tell me what to do to fix this.
Unfortunately, did some manually from "Document and Settings" & "User" Folder Drive C. Tried to clean out inside WLMail folder inside program. Some deleted, but many get "Error Occurred..." message. For the life of me, cannot get rid of them within the program, even though I BELIEVE they no longer reside on the computer.
Being a neat freak, finally decided to uninstall and reinstall up to 2012 version - hoping this might clear out these "stray" entries. Went through the whole rig-a-marol and it is up and running fine. BUT the same old pesky messages linger.
Please help, advice me how I might rid myself of these. As a side not, they all reside in the "Sent to" folder and involve some 200 of 600 messages I began with.
Hope my info is complete enough. Thank you in advance.
