I cannot add my emails to the windows live. It is tell me that something went wrong error code 0x80070425

Please help.

I am using Windows 10 and Gmail. I recently refreshed my computer. When I reinstalled Windows Live Mail 2012, I cannot download the folders or send an email. My settings are correct in my account on the web and also the mail settings on my computer. I have tried every suggestion in the forum and cannot get it to work. Error message "Lookup failed r65mb69546349qke". I really want my WLM back! MS Mail is the pits.

It's impossible to solve the pictures or the sound. How do I get into my live mail.

Split from this thread.

I have been having similar problems.  I have recently upgraded the OS to Win10 Pro and did a complete clean reinstall.  I installed Windows Live Mail which was working fine for a few weeks.  However after changing my Store Folder, Windows Mail will not now run on that PC.  I have installed Live Mail on another PC and copied the contents of the old Store Folder to it.  This one is running OK.

On the original PC whenever I try to run Windows Mail I get the same error message "Windows Live Mail could not be started.  Closing Windows Live Mail.  Your calendar contains corrupt data that is forcing Windows Live Mail to close (0x80070057)".  I have tried renaming my ...@live.com email address as shown in %localappdata%MicrosoftWindows Live MailCalendars but that didn't help.  I also renamed my Store Folder.  Now when I try to run Live Mail, a new folder is created with the same name as the Store Folder in the same location.  That folder contains, among other things a log file, these are the contents: Log opened: 2016-03-11T20:29:23Z

Can anyone help, please.

For some time now, even though WLM2012 (Win 10) appears to be working correctly, each time it downloads from the server it eventually ends with an error saying it had unexpectedly disconnected from the server.

When I hover over the error line in the error dialogue box it shows "2 (3.8 MB) 125 (7.35 MB)".

I have no idea what this means or where I might find a log which would provide me any more detail.  I suspect that there is a message in the queue and this has something to do with its attributes but don't know how to followup on that suspicion.

I used the Frontier web interface to see if there were any messages that might have similar attachment sizes but couldn't reconcile everything and the web interface was having no issues.

Then I set up WLM2012 on a different machine to access the account and everything seems to work perfectly with no errors, timeouts, etc.

Is there a log that I can look at to get additional info on the download and perhaps identify/delete either the message itself or the entry that says it is waiting to be downloaded?

Thanks in advance for your help with this matter.

Cannot receive mail when first opened...says Error, server disconnected. Yet I can go to any site in my E-mails and it will go to them. If I go to Send/Reply it will say connecting and pull in my mail. I can send any E-mail out with no problem.  Had a bunch of Windows updates last week and it hasn't worked since. Tried re-booting and checking Help.  Please give me a clue on what to do. Thank You

Just started today... windows live mail error ID 0x800C013B can not send/recieve email I get this error and I cannot solve the problem....Any help for a non-tech person would be great.

I updated WLM and I'm currently running Windows Live Mail Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3564.1216) on Windows 7 (no, I will not update to Windows 10 - my issue is the lack of WMC).

I have an interesting situation and I think maybe I found a solution that could help someone else.

This new version has been working just fine for me, sending and receiving all of my POP3 mail accounts (gmail, personal server, etc), with one interesting exception:  it will not receive/download any mail from accounts @outlook.com.

I removed and reinstalled my outlook mail accounts several times.  It would work once and then not collect my mail.   I tried something yesterday that seems to have worked (fingers crossed that it will still work in a week).   I didn't allow WLM to automatically configure the mail server.  I did it manually.  For two days now, I've been getting my mail.

I used these settings for POP3:

Incoming mail:  pop3.live.com

Port: 995

Outgoing Mail:  smtp.live.com

Port: 25

Checked "My  server requires authentication"

Checked "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)"

As I said, I hope this continues to work.  It's working right now.  Maybe it can help someone else.

PS - when I let WLM set up an account automatically, it uses this as the server:

Hi

I am wondering how do I set up Windows Live Mail in Windows 10 so that I can use it.  When I

send an e-mail through windows live mail, it will not go through.  Keep getting messages saying

there was an error.  I recently downloaded Windows 10, and have tried several suggestions from

M/S community, but I guess my 78 year old brain doesn't work.  Any help on going through the

process of setting it up and using it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for any advice.

Original title: Windows Live Mail Problems

I have been running Windows Live Mail 2012 with Windows 7 for my 5 e-mail accounts quite satisfactorily until very recently.  Now the program will not run at all.  I receive the message "Windows Live Mail could not be started.  It may not be installed correctly.  Make sure that your disk is not full or that you are not out of memory (0x80041161)".  Disk space is not a problem and memory seems to be a red herring.

When I try to Uninstall/Change Windows Essential 2012 version 16.4.3528.0331 nothing at all happens.

When I try to run wlsetup-web.exe, I get a "Bad Image" error saying "C:Windowssystem32RstrtMgr.DLL is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error......" I am then advised to contact my system administrator (which is me) or the software vendor for support.

I located another copy of the DLL for comparison.  Both are dated 14/07/2009, the original is timed at 02.41 with size 184kb.  The other copy is timed at 02.16 with 149kb.  However, I am prevented from deleting or renaming the original file.

So I need support from the software vendor please.
