I can not clean up contacts in Windows live mail.  I reparied windows essentials 2012 twice and that did not help.  When I click on the clean up tab it redirects me to a microsoft page that is no longer availible.

OK a long protracted problem.

I have been trying desperately to give parental approval to my daughters Xbox email account, using my own already existing accont.live microsift email and despite several attempts to approve this via, account.live it repeatedly told me name and birthdate were missing, yet, these were fully filled in on my microsoft and xbox live / email account, and, I could not gain access to my daughters email as I kept getting the screen "sign in as an adult" and so the loop repeats.
As I have a fully filled in profile for my email, I tried the delete it all and start again thing! So, that was I now know the most wrong thing I could do!
Now, I cannot use my microsoft account on account.live it tells me the email address doesn't exist now and won't accept it, so every bit of my data life and pending downloads are all held in cyberspace. I cannot access my windows phone settings and cannot access Xbox live, in other words one small issue that has lasted now since November 2013, has trashed my entire cyberlife!

Is there hope for an eejit like me???? I throw myself at the mercy of the board :-)

Best regards
Derek

I can’t send emails in windows live mail

It is a sudden error, had been working fine until recently. Initially none were returned, but today after a restart I go the following message –

'Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.

Subject 'Fw: test'

Server: 'smtp.outlook.com'

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F

Protocol: SMTP

Port: 465

Secure(SSL): Yes'

I can’t send emails in windows live mail, and the sending address is set up correctly.

It is a sudden error, had been working fine until recently. Nothing has been changed with computer, no new programs.

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F

Your message couldn't be delivered because you weren't recognized as a valid sender. Make sure your sending address is set up correctly and try to send the message again.

I need to verify my account (which I used for the last 15 years or so) and I'm trying to send myself the security code but I never receive the sms from microsoft.  Please help as I need it to verify since I'm using it for my windows 8.1 to log in.
