Problem with transferring a photo to email

 

Toshiba Laptop L675, 64 bit, running windows 7, Live Email

 

Running I-Explorer 9 I am able to perform the two items below without problem

 

  • Have a photo on my desktop, right click on it, I SEND to email. Live mail opens a new email and inserts the photo in it as an attachment

 

  • Running Picasa, I select a photo, click on email. Picasa transfers the Live mail and inserts the attachments(s) into the mail

 

 

Running I-Explorer 10 or 11, both of these do not function as above

 

  • Have a photo on my desktop, right click on it, I SEND to email. Live mail opens a new email and no photo is in it

 

  • Running Picasa, I select a photo, click on email. Picasa open the  Live mail and no photo is in it

 

 

I uninstall I-Explorer update 10 or 11 going back to IE9 and all works ok as before

 

 

I have a second computer at the Home, it is a HP Desktop, 64 bit, running Windows 7 but with Office Outlook 2007 as the mail program. The photo transfers as described above successfully transfer using IE11

 

 

It appears that when loading IE10 or IE11 the linkage to transfers photo to Live mail no longer functions correctly

 

Is there any way to establish the photo transfer linkage in Live mail after you update to IE10 or IE11?

I started getting this message a few days ago.  I do get the messages to this outlook.com account on my windows phone, but not into WLM.  And WLM can send and receive from 3 other accounts (not outlook.com).

I have already done a repair on Windows Live Essentials as mentioned elsewhere in this forum. I have tried moving the message in the outbox out of it, but still get the error. I have removed the account,and re-created it as a new account.

The server is https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/sync.aspx.  Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE20003.

I am on Windows 7.  Any ideas?

I am trying to delay sending certain e-mails. The only way I can do this is by unchecking the "check for mail every..." (insert number of minutes).

Unfortunately, this applies to all e-mails.

I am visiting mum in New Zealand.

I logged into my Hotmail account

Now, everytime she opens her (already logged in) email account (an xtra.co.nz address), she is asked to supply MY password in a pop up box. How can I prevent t5his annoyance from happening?

Is this SSL or authentication, which box do I check.

I am using window 7, this question pertains windows live mail.

If I mark several e-mails for deletion using the ctrl or shift key, instead of letting me continue to expand the list, individual e-mails start opening and I have to delete each e-mail one at a time before I can return to the list.  A few months ago I could mark large lists and delete long lists of marked e-mails.

when I'm writing a message to a news group, whenever one of my paragraphs begins with the word "From", that "From" is being prefixed with a Greater Than character (">") when downloaded from the news server (news.gmane.org).

Why is this happening? How can I get rid of this problem?


Here's an example:

When I'm typing:
"From a software architect's perspective ..."

After sending the message, when I'm downloading the message from the news server, the above sentence reads:
">From a software architect's perspective ..."


When I start wlm it opens up as normal.  It downloads new messages into the inbox only.  The unreal Email folder is never refreshed or updated.  Then that's about it.  I can do nothing else.  You might try to open the mail we'll get the error message: a problem occurred while trying to open this message or a problem have occurred.  You can compromise an Email but you will not be able to send it.  Whether or not you type in a valid Email address or just leave the field blank, when you press the send button you will get the error message saying that some of the recipients for this message are not valid.  The automated address completion facility does not work.  When you try to access the contacts you receive the error message saying unable to reduce recipients.  I have uninstalled and reloaded numerous times in attempts to resolve this.  It doesn't appear to be a program fault.  Perhaps it might be that I have deleted or corrupted essential files that the program needs to access to run smoothly.  Unfortunately I do not have an earlier backup date that can be restored.
