I am using W7. Windows Live Mail. Just today I sent a series of emails and they were all bounced back. My contact list is "offline".  I really need to fix this as my husbands doctors stay in touch with us on line!! And we communicate with them.
I used to be able to right-click on the toolbar and open up a drop-down menu consisting of Popular Commands, All Commends...for the purpose of manipulating, deleting and adding commands. I cannot seem to be able to do this any longer. Can anyone help me?

For 3 days I have been unable to open emails due to this issue. Including emails I have had for many years, which I could open up until 3 days ago. I also cannot send emails as it says it 'does not recognise the recipient'.

I have tried to defrag as per other questions on here, but it made no difference.

One of the advices was to uninstall the program, but the instructions to do so link goes to a dead page.

Can somebody please help me urgently as having no emails is very bad

Thanks, Paul

Initial windows live e-mail install was operative with two user accounts(larry & val)  under one login. We decided to set up User Sides for each account and Val set up her user side & subsequently downloaded windows live.  It was inoperative as her e-mail traffic was directed to the original user account. I deleted WL e-mail from programs (uninstall was not offered???) and removed desk top icons from both user  sides. Idea being I could re-install it under each user side under respective addresses. When I downloaded the WL program again I was told I had the current version already loaded???  I cant seem to find the program anywhere and I'm at a loss as how to proceed from here. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

NEED  HELP  TO  TRANSFER  LIVE  MAIL  CONTACTS  FROM  OLD  COMPUTER  TO  NEW  COMPUTER

DESERT  DWELLER

I have several email accounts all of which open up in Windows Live Mail 2011. I recently logged into my Hotmail account via a browser page and since doing this I have had the following problem. Every time I open Windows Live Mail, before it opens my other email accounts, a panel appears on the screen asking me to log into my Hotmail account. I can't find out how to stop this happening.

My contact list has been high jacked!

When I bought a new PC a couple of years ago I thought Windows Live Mail which came with Win 7 was simply an application to handle e-mails and a calendar  very much like Eudora which I had been using for a decade.

So, I have been using it as such fairly happily for the last couple of years with my own domain-based e mail address.

I also have a Hotmail address which I rarely use.  Recently my son linked his Blackberry address book to my Hotmail account, which wiped my Hotmail contacts and replaced them with his contacts.

This wasn’t a big problem, but somehow it also wiped and replaced all the contacts in my account on Windows Live Mail, which is a problem.

I don’t understand how this could happen.  As far as I know there is no link between my Windows Live Mail account and Hotmail.

I am now wondering just exactly what is Windows Live Mail? Is it a stand-alone application, or is it somehow linked in the background to Hotmail?

Is there any way of getting my contacts back?

When I get an e-mail with a link to their website, when I click on the link it comes up with a box saying - "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action.  Please install a program or if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs in the control panel".

Please help, I am very frustrated

How can I set the default font for all new messages?  I'm using a new email program called Windows Live Email with Windows 7.  Thanks for your help.
