Hello

Since a recent update to Windows Essentials I find that Windows Live Mail is failing to sync my emails and results in Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE20003. It continually attempts to sync my calendar and does not get as far as syncing emails. Having searched the support community I have tried a few things such as re-installing and also removing / adding my email details again but to no avail. Several threads suggest this is remedied by actions on the email account itself that would need to be done by those managing the Windows Live mail services. Is that correct and can you please fix my account also? Email in Outlook.com are unaffected. I'm running Windows 8.

Many Thanks

how can i activate window 8 without activation code..

Ever since Microsoft abandoned Hotmail, Windows Live Mail loses E-mails constantly.  Any attempt to create storage folders and place e-mails there inevitably leads to the error message:  "Message Can't be Found."  I tried the suggestions you previously made.  They did not work.  When I do a search for the E-mails, I find between the backups and the main drive, the E-mails are there - in the folders where they were.  However, Windows Live can't find them to open them.

I tried exporting them to an empty folder on the desktop, and I see long minutes of moving files.  However, when I open that folder, there are just a lot of empty folders.

Any ideas would be helpful.

Split from another user's thread

I asked about this topic earlier and had one suggestion, to go to my anti-spyware, which I did.  No file was found with any problem.  I have saved my PowerPoint files to a new folder, but I still can't send them as email attachments.  I get a warning that these are dangerous file types. surely they are not!  What can I do?

thanks,

Ruth

I just started using Windows Live Mail under Windows 7 Home Premium.

I added my email accounts and can both send and receive mail.

Under Options / Mail / General tab, I unchecked the box "Check for new message every ...",

but if I leave a Windows Live Mail window/session, it periodically downloads new mail rather than waiting for me to click the Send/Receive button.

I do not want to automatically download mail messages.

I prefer to download only when I click Send/Receive.

Any ideas?  This behavior seems to be a bug rather than an incorrect setting.

Thanks, John

when I open live mail I get the error 0xc0000022 and cant open live mail

Unable to reliably email to groups.

I am using Windows 8.1 on a new HP computer.

Two problems appear to occur:

  1. After plugging in group name and click send, a message comes up asking for an email address. If I place an extra address in mail only goers to that address;
  2. When a group email does go out it only goes to one or sometimes up to a 1/3 of the group

I have just switched to a computer I built last year. 6Tb storage. Solid state C: drive for windows 7 only. I cannot use Office 2007 of which we have 4 copies due to unknown error. I think it wants to install on C: drive. Have solved that by changing to Apache Open Office.

Tried to get Mail to handle emails but Windows Essentials reports error 0x80040705 source dotNet40. I can drop our Virgin Media mail supplier for GMail I suppose, but that will cause major problems for our Charity. Can anyone show how to direct some of these programs where to install?

Many thanks to anyone who can assist us!

Hi everyone!

My problem is: I have different types of signatures and after I finish to write my e-mail, I use one of these signatures. Sometimes I use the wrong one and I want to undo it but when I use ctrl-z or undo button, it affects the last action that I did before the signature. I can not undo my signature and it is hard to delete it because it is an html signature and you need to select different elements one by one. I tried to undo it on a plain e-mail, I just posted my signature and the undo button does not even gets activated.

I could undo it last year (maybe 6-7 months before, I cant remember), but for months I can't do it and it is really annoying. I formatted my computer one time and nothing changed.

Answer please.. Thanks.
