I can send and receive e-mails using WLM once or twice  but when I try to open the program again it automatically opens the dialog box telling me it didn't connect and no tasks, ie sending or receiving were performed. The only way to receive additional mail is to start the task manager Cntl+Alt+Del and stop the wlm process. Then I can open the program properly and receive mail again once or twice.  I am using Windows 7 and the essentials are 2012. I get no error messages. I tried to repair the program but the only option I get is uninstall/change, no repair.
I can't receive or send messages through windows live mail. I have Windows 7

Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail (wellstnj) account.

.

I have Windows XP on my desk top and use Outlook Express 6 ( which I love) . In Outlook Express 6 ,  I've added certain email accts. to my Blocked Senders List. ( tools, message rules, blocked senders list) . when I receive emails from these accts they go into my "Delete " messages , which is where I want them to go . This is just the way I want these emails from the accts to be set up .

On Windows Live Mail , which I have on my laptop , I've put these same emails address on my Blocked Senders list ( options, safety options , blocked senders )  and it doesn't work ,  I still get  the  emails in my normal emails .  Since this didn't work  I also put them   on  Nortons  360  premier  ( settings ,anti-spam , blocked list ) but they still come to my normal email  with ( Norton Anti-Spam ) before the Email Subject ) ,  NOT to my  Junk  email  or  my  Delete Email  ( as  in  Outlook Express 6 ) .   Help

Hello....This issue just occurred last week.

I click on "pictures". In pictures I choose a photo to email as an attachment. I type in the recipient's

info. Click on "send" and an error box appears. In the box there is no error explanation. It shows that

I have 17 undelivered attachments. I called Microsoft three times along with Comcast and I have hit a

dead end with both. What to do I ask?

Need to find info to make changes to my Windows Live 2012 toolbar and to keep my email Storage Folders Closed!  When I want to transfer a email message to a folder they all open and I have to scroll down - for some reason I cant just type a letter and get to the folder I want to go to!

There doesnt seem to be any way to rearrange the toolbar either - I am always hitting reply when I want to delete a message!

Is there any kind of Help window on the toolbar somewhere?

Changed gmail password online and then changed password in gmail account in WLM and cannot access gmail account in WLM. Entering user id and password do not help. Receive message "'Please enter your user name and password for the following server".  Use WLM version 12.  Is there a another approach to changing password in gmail account? Use WLM in windows 7, 8.1 & Vista and same problem in WLM on all 3 pcs.  Have searched answers.microsoft.com but few solutions. All suggestions and help appreciated, Many thanks - John L.

I'm not getting an error, but when I tried Microsoft fix it, this is the message I received.

I recently tried to send some pictures through my Windows Live interface, my email account is hosted by 123-reg. And the send got stuck. There are three emails in the process of being sent, but not sending. I've deleted the mail from the outbox, thinking it would clear the sending queue. Now I can't send or receive anything. And I can't clear the box telling me that I'm still sending.

I tried to fix the "Deltasync settings may prevent sending or receiving mail" but the Microsoft fix doesn't fix it.

The Task bar says "sending 3 messages"

And there are no messages sending. Someone please help.

I would like to propose the following simple improvements of Window Live Mail:

1. When in the present edition of Live Mail the user starts preparing a new e-mail and clicks on "To..." a windows will appear with the text "Sending an e-mail". In this window all contacts will be shown. If this list is quite long, it might take quite some time to find the right address. If, like in Outlook Express, in the window "Sending an e-mail"  a small menu would be available for choosing a certain category of contacts, the user could make his/her choice a lot faster.

2. In Live Mail one can also make a new e-mail from the page "Contacts". This can be done by activating one or more person in a contact list and then push on the icon "E-mail" in the menu bar. In the present edition of Live Mail the chosen person(s) will appear in the box "To..." of the new e-mail. But in this procedure there is no possibility to put contacts in "cc" or "bcc". This problem could easily be solved by adding a menu to the icon "E-mail" where the user can choose for "To", "cc", of "bcc".

3.  In addition to the list "All contacts" it would be nice to have also a list called "Recently added contacts". There  the contacts will appear that by Live Mail will automatically be added to the contact list and also the contacts that one adds through right-clicking with the mouse on a certain address in an incoming e-mail. This list will be similar to the list that is known in Outlook Express, where it is called "Contacts of the main identity". From this list the user could later move the new contacts to one of his/her categories. The total number of contacts in this new list and those in the various categories would always add up to the number shown in "All contacts".

4. The icon "Address lists"' in the menu bar of the page "Contacts" would better be called "Look for a contact".

5. The icons in the menu bar of the page "Contacts" might be put in a more logical order.

If the above might not be clear, please let me know. I would be very happy if fairly shortly the presented changes could be executed. Live Mail is not a bad program at all, but it could be made a lot nicer for the user by the above-mentioned small changes.

Just installed latest windows live essentials 2012 update.  Now windows live mail won't connect with Comcast servers.  What's changed?  Do I need to use different ports? different account settings?

Hello

for some reason I cant send hyper or live links in my live mail (outlook windows 7 ) any suggestions?
