Hi,

I've had the same problem yesterday morning and it has not remedied itself since.

The error message reads...

Server: 'mail.dyfed-shires.co.uk' Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0D Protocol: POP3 Port: 110 Secure(SSL): No Socket Error: 11004

Guidance appreciated.

Mark

I get the following message when clicking Send & Receive:-

Unable to send or receive messages for the Btinternet account. Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems or a long period of inactivity.

Server Response: +OK 6375 octets
Server: 'mail.btinternet.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F
Protocol: POP3
Port: 110

Secure(SSL): No

Despite the message, email are getting through!

Windows Mail quit working 9 days ago.  Tried Windows Live Mail.  It can't send or receive either.  I can't find any way to even check settings.  I'm using Windows 8.1.  If I didn't still have xp, I couldn't use email.

Had an old computer crashed and burned.  Pulled the old hard drive, and it appears I have moved the old emails to the new computer.  I can see the old messages as per their dates of creation, so I know these files are the ones I want to import. These were also from windows live mail, win 7.  I use the import feature on windows live mail on the new computer  (win 7 64 bit), and it creates the storage folder, but after it supposedly has imported 9000+ messages, (taking some time) nothing is in the storage folder.

What magical incantation must I use to make these appear?

this is my problem

Server Error: 0x80072EFD

Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80072EFD

help please , Ive even changed password / removed  then re added account to windows live mail

but wont send/receive

very frustrating as i use my email account(s) and this is whole reason why i have this and not outlook set up

id appreciate some assistance ,thankyou

My existing Contacts List are already large in number and I do not want to add to the list unnecessarily. As a Membership Secretary of a Group I wish to Create a Group Listing with all the members' email addresses in but I do not want to add all 80 plus names to the existing Contacts List I have as most of the 80 odd are not the people I would normally add to my Personal Contact List.

A work around appears to be is to list the emails in a word doc and highlight, copy and past into the 'To' 'cc' or 'Bcc' whenever I wish to email them - is that the simplest it gets or is there an easier way - I have Windows Live Mail 2011

All replies put in simple english (not too technical please) appreciated.

Hello

Have been using Windows Live Mail since last year with no problems, but have suddenly received a few emails, which have obviously been sent to others on a mailing list, which I can neither open nor delete. They haven't appeared in the junk mail as they're lists I've subscribed to. Any ideas, please.

I closed my Hotmail account by accident today,  I can login, but no email and contact there. Can I get all my email back?

When I try to send an email to a list of email addresses from an excel file Windows Live Mail (WML) only sends it to addresses that are in my contacts list.  The other addresses get a pop-up window labelled Name Check and reporting that that particular address has not been found.  How do I turn off this check?  It appears to be a problem in the Word-WML interface as WML itself has no problems sending to addresses not in my contacts list.
