I cannot set up an e-mail notification on my Windows Live calendar. When I get prompted to put in my e-mail address, I get routed to the Microsoft login page, and when I register, a new notice comes back and says it "cannot find that page".
I do not have the "Notification" service under Options, and even when I list *** Email address is removed for privacy *** in my safe sender file, it still does not work. Any suggestions on how to this to work?
Last week my Windows Live Mail stopped work correctly. I had Windows Essential 2011 using it with Windows 10. I have EarthLink for e-mail.
I can receive e-mails just fine. But I cannot create new ones or reply or forward received ones.
Today I tried to edit a calendar event but I cannot do that either.
When I try to do either, a window pops up and says an unexpected error occurred. I can input information in the t0, cc, subject fields but cannot type anything in the body of the e-mail.
I have tried doing a repair in the control panel several times. I have also uninstalled it and installed Windows Essential 2012 Live mail.
I see many problems like this on-line but none of the solutions have helped me.
Yes the ports and smtpauth addresses are correct for earthlink.
Any other ideas?
Windows 7 live mail (2012) is not sending my photo or video out. It looks like they are prepared properly although I question the cute little yellow padlocks as to their function. Then later I get error message: 08CCC0003 saying the photo is problem.
Change the photo and try again. I dont know what to change. They are already in large E mail format so that shouldnt be the problem.
Cant find any information on the yellow padlock thing. When it does go through, receiver says the padlocks are red and wont open. Information on their error report says it is not encrypted. Makes no sense. I scan in a photo, save a copy for E-mail, it turns up in my E-mail folder with these little yellow padlocks, click on paperclip to attach to new e-mail , they appear in the new e-mail. so I click SEND. Thinking all is well. No they either dont even show up at receiver, or cant be opened.
Occasionally one get through okey. What is going on....? Its toooo bad as this program has some really nice features like screen shot, etc. so I hate to dump it and go to gmail. Please advise.
I am using Windows Essentials 2012 but I cannot figure out why since last night, I am unable to reply to any messages received to any of my email accounts (both pop and imap) configured on Windows Live Mail.
As I type a reply to a message, nothing appears on the screen and even if I send a blank message to myself, the message is received but not only shows in SENT but also stays in OUTBOX..
I have tried both repairing all the components of Windows Essentials 2012 and also uninstalled and re-installed the program but in vain. What could possibly be the cause? All my emails accounts are configured correctly, so it must a problem with the program. Can someone please assist?.
N.B. I am still running Windows 8.1

I am using Windows Live Mail on Windows 10. Like others, I have found that copies of emails are not appearing in the Sent folder. Checking the mail account on another device or by (Outlook) webmail reveals but does not fully recover to WLM the sent emails.
More critical is the complete loss of received emails. A recently created folder had four or five important emails copied into it from a different email account. They were available in it but now Send/Receive shows only the folder with an 'Empty' message. Also:
Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail (name) account.
Server Error: 0x80070057
Server: 'https://m.hotmail.com/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80070057
Deleting the Hotmail account and reinstating it has failed to achieve the required result, and failures to sync as reported above are routine.
The first error code above reports something on the server. Thinking to address the second I downloaded TechUtilities which found 2,880 'issues', all of them referencing non-existent files. To fix them I was invited to register, but this was only a cover for buying something that I judge not to be needed.
How long should we wait for Microsoft to patch this up? Or just switch to Gmail?
I clicked something that caused me to lose my folders and the emails stored in them. I can find the archive that has the folders and the emails. Any suggestions?
