Windows Live Mail FAQ
I have been using this for about a year. Suddenly when I open it I just get a box showing Tasks - Send 2 message(s) - with a status of "executing". Bottom says 0 of 1 tasks have completed successfully. Nothing has happened for 2 days & I cannot delete this to get to my mail.

I'm having the same problem with my Windows Live Mail. Yesterday I changed my Hotmail password as every email I sent out was being sent out multiple times (even though I only sent each email once). I changed the password as I figured spam might be involved.
BUT after changing the password I can't send out more than one email at a time (cannot send out multiple emails anymore). This is the error message I receive when I try to send out multiple emails: "Your message wasn't sent because there's a daily message
limit. Messages can't be sent from this account until tomorrow or until this account is verified.
Subject 'xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx'
Server Error: 3210
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE00006
What can I do to resolve this error? Any/all advice would be greatly welcome. Thanks.
PS: I'm not familiar with how to "uncheck the Manually configure server settings". Could you assist me with further details as to how this is done? Thanks again.
my windows defender has been turned off and when i try to open that from start up menu its says error:
explorer.exe
windows cannot access the specified device path or file.you may not have the appropriate permission to access them.
what should i do..:(
I am trying to add an email account to my windows live mail...I get this error message, after inputting the information directly from my internet provider....
"General authentication failed. None of the authentication methods supported by your IMAP server (if any) are supported on this computer"
The internet provider says its a Microsoft issue. Microsoft says they don't support live mail....
help please. Thank you in advance...
I have several emails that I moved to a new storage folder and they went in a subfolder of one of my existing folders.
How do I move them out of the unrelated folder and into a stoage folder of their own.
I exported my Windows Live email that was organized in various personally created folders, on my old computer to Live Email on my new computer but when it imports it puts every thing into `Storage folders'. How can I easily move all my emails and personally created folders, into the Windows Live email account I created on the new computer? In other words, my emails and folders are all there in WLE on the new computer, but in the `Storage Folders', not in the actual email acct. I can highlight the emails in Storage Folders, right click and select Move but it is a tedious process. It takes a LONG time just for a moving 20-30 emails, and I have hundreds.
If I click on the Folders tab and select Move To it says I can't move a folder from one `server to another server'. So maybe the better question is How do I import these emails and folders into the server I want instead of the default `Storage folder'?
