I had contact managment feature turn on for all my kids prior the 'update' that remove the feature,    Contrary to the reply that a few contributor have given to disapointed customer, the feature is no longer available in family safety, EVEN if I had it setup before the change.

In summary. when windows has a bug, it is declared a feature.  When it has a usefull feature, well Microsoft just removes it.  Way to go. Not  quite exactly impressed.

I am very sorry, but I have to post yet another question:

in my desktop Windows Live Mail I have two accounts. I use one account for synchronising my mail with the online version of Windows Live Mail (I sign in with Windows Live ID and everything works fine). However this doesn't work for Contacts and Calendar - whatever I create locally doesn't show up when I sign in with Windows ID (I create something locally, it doesn't show up online; I create something online, it doesn't show up locally).

So this is really frustrating. I very much hope someone can help.

Thank you.

I am having this problem. I can't send or receive, and when I close Live Mail, this error message pops up that says that it is downloading message, and it keeps going and going unless I hit the stop tab. The error tab reads like this;

Unable to send or receive from Mikey's Mail account

Server response ERR no such message

Server error; 0x800CCC90

Server 'mail.twc.com'

Windows Live Mail error;0x800420CD

Protocol; POP3

Every now and then the Restore option for (any) maximized WLM window is grayed out. In order to restore WLM windows I must execute a System Restore. Whey does this happen, and how can I prevent it? Is there another way out aside from System Restore?
I have repeatedly encountered the distressing phenomenon whereby a WLM draft that I've saved refuses to open. The error message is "A problem has occurred. Please try again." Trying again (many times, over an extended period) does no good. Why is this happening, and is there any way to get these messages to open? Or is there a way to prevent the error?

What steps do I need to take to make it work? This all started when I start using Windows Live Mail 2012.

Suddently, when I start up my Win7pro, I get an error saying someting like (translated from Danish):

A problem arose, that deactivated parts of Logonassistant for Microsoft-account. You will probably not be able to log on to Windows Live in certain programs. The problem may de the result of a program, which has been installed recently. You may find out more by going to: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=144689

When I go to this adress, I just get the login for Windows Live. Which works fine.

I have not installed any programs recently.

I have found others with the same issue, and the answer has so far been simply to uninstall (and NOT reinstall) Windows Essentials. But since I use Live Mail every day, I would be sorry about this. I have uninstalled all parts of the Essentials package that I do not use (leaving only One Drive and Live Mail). I have uninstalled and reinstalled the package. I have tried a repair.

The problem persists. Other than the popup-error-message, I can not detect anything that is not functioning. It is just an annoying error-message, that I have to OK every time I reboot.

How do I get rid of it?

I am using Windows Live Mail 2011 with Windows 7.  Recently it has crashed at least 5 times in the last couple of months. Whilst I can recover some emails,  I lose most.  Any suggestions on what I can do to stop Windows Live Mail from crashing.
