I am using Windows 8.1 (but that is another issue) and Windows Live Mail. I like the fact I can move the order of folders up or down in the mail folder list. My problem is the Outbox won't stay where I put it. I would like the Outbox to stay at the
top immediately following Quick Views. And it does stay there until I restart. At that point it repositions itself to the bottom of the list just before the Storage Folders. The other folders stay where I put them, but not the Outbox. How do I get the
whole list to stay in my order upon restart?
Is Outlook a better choice for mail. I have Win 7, Live Mail and dislike it; it came installed in my desktop. Can one switch to another program? Will that cause issues with Onedrive, Norton, backup? Would I uninstall MS Essentials? Do I have to have

How can I add an address to the safe senders list in Live Mail? I can add a sender once their email has gone to Junk Mail. But, if I get an email address from someone who has not yet sent me mail, how can I be sure I will get their email?
I was sorting out my email folders today, and I have now lost a load of folders that had emails in them. I did not delete them, simply went away from my laptop for 2 hours, and when I came back and opened my emails, all the folders had gone.
I am on windows 7 and use a btinternet.com address as well as a live.com one.
This is a disaster for me.. anyone help

Whenever I open Windows Live Mail on my laptop (Win 7) I get a message saying "the email address or password is incorrect. Please try again"
It's NOT incorrect. I can log in on the web no problem so it's not a wrong password or mis-spelling. I can also access it fine through my ipad and iphone so It must be a problem with Windows Live Mail.
This is really driving me to distraction. Can someone please help?

I have upgraded to office 365 small business premium as MYOB does not support windows live mail. I now need to import my mail across but when exporting mail from windows live I get an error message saying my default MAPI store can not be opened. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated as I have spent 2 hours on the phone to Telstra support and an hour and a half to Microsoft with no one able to help me and I am at my wits end!!!

My 8.1 device needs a refresh. So I crank up ol' trusty. Lo and behold I find I installed Windows Essentials 9 some time back.
My 8.1 device was backed up regularly. So here's my conundrum. Can I transfer my WLM 12's mail rules backward into WLM 9?
I was shocked to find WLM 9.
I know one of you MVPs is the WLM expert so I'm hoping for good advice.!
