I recently had to change my Live mail password, and that works OK through the web, however in Windows Live Mail it kept telling me that I had entered the wrong password. I decided to remove the Live Mail account from Windows Live Mail with a view to reinstate it. However, even though the Live Mail account is removed, when I start WIndows Live mail it still asks me for my Live mail credentials, I enter what I know are the correct details and it continues to tell me that they are wrong. What can I do?

Should I remove Windows Live mail from my computer and start again? If so how do I do that as it does not appear in my program list, do I have to remove the whole of Live Essentials 2011?

I don't want to use Outlook.com as I like to have the emails on my computer.

Thanks

George

How to unblock a blocked sender

An email that was forwarded to me caused the following message to be displayed - - -

I am 99.9% sure that the email in question caused this.  This same email, once more forwarded to me, only this time opened in Microsoft Office Outlook, opened with no problem, as it should.  This stems back to the same old problem of WLM not handling pictures properly when imbedded within the text of the email, only even worse this time.  I do not know how to check "Message Source" in Microsoft Office Outlook.

If anyone would like me to forward this on to them for investigation, and can figure out a way to do so, I would be happy to oblige.

Windows 7 Home Premium

Internet Explorer 11

Windows Live Mail Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3528.0331)

Microsoft Office Outlook 2007

PS:  Windows has not notified me that a solution is available.

This describes my situation to a T.

Have been using outlook online, but the thing is that when I click on a link to respond to something by email, it connects with windows live.

Am thinking I'll try uninstalling and downloading it again.

Not sure which site to download from, though.

Thanks for posting.

Windows 7 with WLM 2012 running.  I use the standard folders plus several personal folders to hold emails that I wan to save.  I have three email accounts.

Something happened That caused all the personal folders to disappear and the most recent 1000 messages all appear in my Inbox as unread messages.  I have found my older  messages and their associated folders ( I think ALL )  in a couple of recovery files.  I have never seen a recovery program so I assume that I get to move each individual message.

Does anyone know what caused this to happen?  I suspect that WLM tried to consolidated all of my old messages and the program failed to do so properly?  Is there a setting that lets the program consolidated on its own.   Where do I find it so I can shut it off?  Any other ideas?

Thanks!

This is probably very old hat.  I have just upgraded live mail from 2009 to 2011.  Now I can't get the program to give me a new email form, neither will it open emails in the draft folder.  There is a very convoluted error message that is beyond my comprehension.  I gather 2011 has been trouble.  Can anyone please suggest a fix for this or any other solution?  Pleasssse?!  thanks in advance.  Ken H

When I moved from Windows Live Mail to Google Chrome I got a message something like "another program is using these files" I thought maybe the files were being compacted like they were in Outlook Express. But when I went back to WLM all of my storage folders and the contents of my inbox were gone!

HELP!

I need the password reset option enabled for my hosted mx domain on the Windows Live Admin center. My domain is birtec.com.br .

I look forward.

I am running Windows Live Mail on Windows 8.1.  When I got the new computer I imported all my old E-mails from my XP Outlook into a Storage folder.  No problem there, I was able to access all these files.  Now some of these folders are showing that there are messages there, but when I select one I either get an error "Message Not Available" or another message from the folder will open in place of whatever I selected.  Other folders seem to be unaffected and I can access all messages, for now at least.  The problem is not just with the messages that I imported from the old Outlook, but affects more recent messages from the new LiveMail, but stored in the Storage folder.  Any ideas?

I perfectly understand that you can decide, when checking SPAM, that you can (and I do) add the Sender and/or theSenders Domain to the Blocked Senders List.

What I do NOT understand is, as I have done either or both over a long period of time how can I VIEW both the Blocked Senders List of a) Senders, and  b) Senders Domain.

One casually adds senders to these Hypothetical 'Lists',  but I have never discovered a way of viewing them !!

Until I see the names on the list I'll not be convinced I even have a 'LIST'

I am also not convinced that when I click 'Add to blocked Senders List OR Add Senders Domain to Blocked Senders List (Or Both) that something ACTUALLY HAPPENS.

Conversely - I haver tried for ages to remove notifications from E Bay FROM SPAM and allow them into my ordinary E Mail In Box;  so for some time I have clicked the 'Allow Sender / Senders Domain' on these E Bay Emails - not being able to View These Lists I cannot tell whether what I requested has been acted upon or not - in reality nothing happens and E Bay emails still appear in SPAM

A simple explanation is needed and I imagine many people Click these options without knowing For Sure that anything actually HAPPENS!! Shout & Scream!!

Keep it simple please
