Hello. I haven't found any post with this particular "too many messages" included, so I am posting for advice. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium with Windows Live Mail 2011. My service provider is BT (and so I have a BT Yahoo email which I do not bother to access) - BT are currently saying they are changing their customers to a new BT Mail - could this be the problem? The only other thing to change is that I installed Microsoft Office using a product key sold to me at the same time I bought the laptop some time ago and forgotten - it appears to have installed.

Symantec have remotely viewed my computer, reinstalled their Norton 360 Preium product and searched for a cause; they have unchecked the outgoing email scanning. The confirmed it was a server problem to be sorted out. BT have remotely viewed my computer and say the cause was too many emails in my Drafts folder - there were 61 (family history searching, waiting for printing!) and I deleted down to 17, test and test message went. BT were convinced this was the cause, and thought the case closed. It is still happening. I have to use Send/Receive about three times before mail will go.

Anybody got any ideas because I am baffled, not an IT expert and don't know what to do next. Thanks.

I just got a new PC and I want to export all my emails from my storage folders in WLM 2011 to WLM on my new PC which is Windows 8.1.

I have follwed the instructions from the Microsoft how-to as shown here

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows-live/mail-import-backup-restore

My question is where it says in step 4 to browse for a folder where you want to store them, where do I make a storage folder? Is it in WLM and if so, where on my PC do I find it? When I click on browse I have to choose somewhere on my PC to store them. Or do I store them on my old PC or external hard drive somewhere?

Hope someone can help.

Thanks.

I am running windows 7 pro.

My windows live mail account was working o.k last night 07/08/2014. This morning it will not sync and returns the error server error 5102 ox8de00002.

I have run 2 malware programs which have not found any errors. I have removed the account, re-instated the account closed live mail, re-opened live mail.

Checked outboxes and all empty.

Restarted computer. None of this has worked. I can not log onto the web to access my mail.

I have tried to receive mail for this account on two other computers without success.

I can access my wifes live account o.k.

It seems as though the account has been corrupted.

I am trying to access several importent mails to do with banking and a large purchase. PLease help. How will you contact me if my email is not working ?

Thanks

Hi,

I'm trying to change my hotmail/outlook password for my email account. In order to do this I have to send a code to my alternate email address. Unfortunatly I haven't used this alternate email for a very long time (5 years or so). I cannot remember anything about this alternate email only the email address, which is useless now of course. I have got another email address to use as my alternate email address, I would just like to know how to change it so I can change my password.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Sam

Why can't I access my mail messages on my iPad.  I can access them on my laptop.  I am still getting new mail but can't open them on my iPad.  I have not made any changes on my iPad .  I am using hotmail.

Setting up windows live under windows 7 on a new workstation. Send and receive mails okay . Sent mails do not display in sent box. Have tried various things suggested in other post. My boxes draft, sent, setup , spam, and trash are indented under Inbox and not in line with the I in Inbox.

Would reinstalling windows 7 and windows live help?

Should be grateful for some help please.

When reading some older email messages, equal signs ("=") are display instead of the first character of a word.  This appears to have something to do with line breaks and maybe the encoding format.  When I look at the source for the message, the plain/text segment appears fine.  The HTML section contains lines with "=" at the end of the line just before the word that is effected.  I think this has something to do with line breaks, but I'm not sure.  I've included what I think are the relevant parts of the email below.  Is there an option, a fix, or does anyone know a way to remedy this problem?

Thanks in advance,

   Owen

In Outlook Express the default sorting of newsgroups was done like this:

Tagged topics were always displayed at the top, therein sorted by date sent (descending). Messages of a topic were displayed as threads (= indented, folded) and therein sorted by date sent (ascending):

How can I achieve the same sorting in Windows Essentials Live Mail?

Your help is appreciated.

Why are some of my Windows Live Mail Folders showing in red font all of a sudden?  And why doesn't the search function work?
