I am not looking to change the default font in the composing of my mail. I am looking to change the font in my folder pane and my message list. Is there a way to do this? I installed Windows 7 and I swear that developers must be on crack. I cannot read anything. Everything in the fonts are absolutely TO SMALL to read. Please tell me that the developers of this operating system and other MS programs have a way to change this. Otherwise I am dealing with a completely unusable system.

I know how to change resolutions and I know how to reset DPI settings. I have actually been a Tech Support Rep and a Subject Matter Specialist for Operating systems at the main campus. I have managed to at least hack the registry to change the system font to Veranda so that at least it is a slight bit readable. But there is no ability to change the pitch size. WHat in the world were they thinking about putting gray font on white background? WLM is pretty bad. I did change the background color to try and bring out the gray font color but it is still pretty small and hard to read. Skype is even worse! I won't even use it anymore.

I always thought that upgrading OS's are suppose to make systems better. Since Windows 7 the OS has become a really sad product. I cannot believe I am actuallu considering a MAC. But unless the developers address the system default fonts and give end users more latitude to change these things they are going to see (no pun intended) users move away from MS.

Is there a way to change this? Can someone at least give me a reg hack to change the font sizes?

Thanks in advance.

Is it possible to just view messages where any of the contacts in the FROM or TO, CC, and BCC are unknown?  If not with Windows Live Mail - any other mail program?
I am repeatedly getting a message which says Windows Live Mail must close due to an unexpected error. What is the cause of this and how can I resolve it?

My mum is having a problem with her junk email in Windows Live 2011.  Unlike on her iPad, or when she logs in online (which work fine), her junk emails are not filtering to her junk email folder.  As a result, she has to spend ages each day deleting the junk emails manually off of her laptop.

Does anyone know why this is happening please?  I've set the security to high (it was on Low), but doesn't seem to have made much of a difference.

Thanks, Angie

Login to outlook.com, click the Gear icon, More mail settings, Rules for sorting email messages.

Is there a rule to delete messages?  Remove it.

I checked and have no rules set up for sorting.  I am getting only 1 or 2 emails every couple of days. I finally set my computer back to the original factory settings because of a Virus. Still only got 1 email today.

Hi,

I have setup my Windows Live mail to receive emails from my two Hotmail accounts. Initially they worked fine, but 2 days ago, suddenly Live Mail was unable to sync emails from both email accounts and the error code as above. Appreciate help and advice please. Thanks!

Hi there, BrendaBeauleau.

I'm Wayne from the Microsoft Community and I'll be assisting you regarding this issue.

I have read your post and I understand that you seem to be having issues receiving in your account.

Since you already have tried checking your email rules and found no set up that might be affecting your receiving, I would need you to do a number of other troubleshooting steps.

Check your Junk Mail Settings

1. In your Outlook.com Inbox, click the cog icon beside your Profile name.

2. Click "Options".

3. Under Preventing junk email, click "Filters and reporting".

4. Under Choose a junk e-mail filter, choose the level of protection that you want, and then click "Save". If the Exclusive level was set, messages from senders not on your Contacts or Safe senders lists will have been sent to the Junk e-mail folder.

Check your Reply-to address

1. In your Outlook.com Inbox, click the cog icon beside your Profile name.

2. Click "Options".

3. Under Writing email, click "Reply-to address".

2. Select "Your From address" button.

3. Click "Save".

If you did not find anything wrong with the said functions, then try the following:

-I would also need you to check your deleted folder see if the emails goes there.

-Try sending a test email to yourself and see if you'll receive it.

-It would also be handy if you try searching for expected emails using the search function in Outlook.com located in the upper left of your interface. Go search for email subjects, email senders you cannot seem to receive from to check if their emails were sent to a different folder in your mailbox.

If you still think you're having issues receiving after doing the said steps, then refer to the private message area that I will create for you as I would need some sensitive information if the issue would persist.

Please make sure you are signed in to be able to view my response.

Note: You can open the private message by clicking the red link above your post that says

"You have a private reply to this message. Click here to read it on our secure private messages section."

We'll be waiting for your reply.

Thanks!

I checked all of the information you have provided above and I am still not getting all emails: I am geUnable to send or receive messages for the Outlook (bbeauleau) account. The connection to the server has failed.

Dear all, long story short this is what I need yr help with;

Fault-free Win 7 HP installation, running on a 64 bit Intel i3, (Hewlett packard), stationary machine.  All Windows updates on automatic, Norton 360 AV software running and all Components regularly updated to latest versions.

2 weeks ago; in the regular MS monthly security update for august, something caused BSOD after reboot.  After restoring Win 7 and disabling auto updates, this is now resolved.

last couple of Days (running WLM 2011), I had a problem with being unable to open mail and got the error code above.  After browsing this excellent forum, I tried most stuff including MSMail data base cleanups, various essential utilities moves and also disabling the read-only mode on the Local.../WLM/MSMail file catalog - but no change.

After deleting the 2011 WLM and replacing it with 2012 WLM - I hoped things would be kosher - but no such luck.

What finally managed to resolve it is if I every time that I want to start WLM (and I have only one single user installed on this machine), I run the program in Admin mode.  Feels like a fix of a temporary kind, so any help on how to resolve this permanently is highly appreciated.

Best regards

Olof

For the past two weeks I have been receiving a lot of delivery failure notices. The addresses that have failed are not in my contact list and I have no idea who these people are. It looks like a spammer is using my email address as the "from" when sending out the spam. Is there any way I can get my address out of that situation? I am using Windows Live Mail with Windows 7.

some time i can't access my Hotmail account in windows live mail,

error is

Server Error: 0x80072EE7
Server: 'http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80072EE7
