Original Title: Windows Live mail 2012

I use Windows Live Mail 2012 and Windows 7

I did have a 120GB ssd. I removed this after using Acronis to clone this to a 500 GB ssd.

Now when I try to get my e-mail I get the following Message

"Windows Live mail could not be started. The application was unable to open WLM message store.

WLM was unable to locate its message data base. If you moved the data files to a new location click OK to reset the database pathto that location, otherwiseclick cancel to proceed, any messages found will be available under Orphaned accounts (oXooooooo)"

I did a disk check but it did not solve the problem.

Please help me get back my e-mail

Is there a way in Windows Live Mail to establish an automatic deletion date, say after a message is two years old in either the All Mail account or in the personal files established that it is deleted and sent to trash?  If not, is there a way to delete messages in bulk without checking everyone, and if you delete them in the All Mail account will that delete from the files too?

emoticons worked then didn't work ?

Moved from Email & Communications, Windows 7

I just got a mew PC with Windows 10 and the email client "Mail" has severely limited features compared to Windows "Live Mail."

You cannot add new folders to store email, most of the text formatting is inactive, spell check is inactive.

I tried to download Windows Live Mail 2012 from Microsoft Essentials but the OS would not alllow it.

Why is "Mail" so limited and when will it be upgraded to be as good or better than the older MS email clients?

I went to open my @msn.com email account today and was prompted to set up a Microsoft account.  When I typed in the email account @msn.com  a message came up saying  "this email is part of a reserved domain" please enter a different  email address".  How do I get to my email account that I have had for 10+ years?

As of a couple of days ago I can no longer see my stored e-mail book when I go to the checkered square and click on the people App. No other block appears for me to manage people etc. Nothing. This happened to two of my laptops. I have another laptop that I do not use as much and I can see my address book. How can I retrieve the address book from the people directory? Is there a file missing etc.?

There are several reasons why you might be seeing this error. To nail it down, we need to know some details:

  1. Do you use the calendar?
  2. What is the build of your version of Windows Live Mail?
To see, when viewing your message list, press Alt-F B.
  3. What version of Windows is installed?
To see, press Windows key  + R, type winver and press Enter.
  4. Has the Microsoft Account you sign in with been upgraded?
To see, visit calendar.live.com with the same account as you use to sign in in Windows Live Mail.

Which of these do you see in the top left-hand corner of the window?

(It's the wording, not the colours that count)

We can't really say what's wrong or how to deal with it until we have the answers to these four questions.

1. I do not use the calendar

2. Windows Live Mail version2012 build 16.4.3528.0331

3.Windows version 1511 os build10586.164

4. OUTLOOK CALENDAR appears in upper left corner.

I appreciate any help you can give me to resolve this.
