I changed my email programme to "Windows Live Mail". In my former programme I had "groups" where I was able to send messages to multiple addresses at the same time. I have put those groups into my new programme but was not able to send messages to the groups - the programme told me I must enter addresses instead of the group name. Then I figured out how to do it and it worked, sending from the "contacts" page. Now it has stopped working and I am unable to send to my "groups" again, known as "categories" in this new programme. Can anyone advise me? Thanks

Hi, hopefully I'm on the right forum?

I have an issue with my "Blocked Senders" list in Windows Live Mail;

A few weeks ago after receiving instruction from someone from Microsoft Community, I copied and pasted addresses from my "Blocked Senders" list.

However.  I've since tried again and unfortunately I've come unstuck;

PREVIOUS INSTRUCTION:-

Go to START>

Type in "regedit.exe in the search box>

Go to "Windows Live Mail"

Locate the "Junk Key" and expand to "Blocked Senders" list key>>>>>Copy and paste to your selected file.

My present problem now is:-

When I expand WLM, I cannot locate the Junk Mail key to expand Blocked Senders List key, in order to copy/paste the list?

I’ve also tried expanding Windows Live and Windows Mail,  to try and locate the Junk Mail key?

Q. Where else would the "Junk Key" be located?

Kind regards

Danny.

I am using the Calendar in Windows Live Mail 2011.

I have an option for "Birthday Calendar" but I can't seem to give a future date a type as "Birthday Calendar".  It defaults all entries as "Michael's Calendar".

How do I change a Calendar Type to "Birthday Calendar".

I am running Windows 7 and Windows Live Mail (WLM) 2012 on an Acer Aspire laptop.

One of my email folders contains 2,121 email messages. As you know, they are named such as "76047268-00000054," which means nothing to me. Will it cause problems to WLM if I rename the file to something relevant to the message and that I can quickly identify (e.g., birthday wishes 2014)?

Thanks.

this morning I started getting 7 of each emails, and dating back to 2012!  don't know why this is happening. Comcast says it's my email client  and not them sending 7 of each email.   So far, Windows Live Essentials has imported over 24,000 emails.  I closed Windows Live for now, not knowing if my computer or the program can handle any more or is there a limit?  How do I stop all these duplicates?

I am trying to create a message rule within WLM and am successful with that.  However, I cannot find where to change the default file to start the rule on.  For instance, the default file is 'Storage Folders' that my rule is run on, and I don't want it to use that folder.  I want the rule to be run on Inbox, but that requires me to browse in order to use it, and that defeats the purpose of setting up a rule to filter email incoming from the server in the first place.  Can someone please tell me where/how to change it from 'Storage Folders' as the default to 'Inbox'?  Thanks in advance!

My email appears to be frozen - won't download.  Message in box says downloading message 1 but it has taken over two days and still the message can't be seen.  I can get my emails on my IPad so I don't think it is a server problem.

I have Windows 7 and all of a sudden the printer icon is missing from the task bar. Also the drop down menu on the far left does not show Print as an option

I open LM, I get my email, I exit LM, I open LM, I get my email, I exit LM.....ok

I open LM, I get my email, I send an email, I exit LM, I try to open LM, it does not open (usually says not connected), I go to Task Manager and end LM, I open LM and every thing is OK.

this happens every time, I send an email from LM.
