i am getting the following error in windows live mail while checking my hotmail account

Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail (ramizbaig) account.

Server Error: 0x80072EFD
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80072EFD

i would like to state that additionally window live mail is used to check a gmail account, a gapps account and a imap account all 3 of those are working fine.

also i am able to use web browsing perfectly on chrome but internet explorer is giving me a connection error? maybe thats whats causing hotmail to misbehave as well.

looking forward to the resolution of my problem.

regards

Instead of downloading just the day's emails, a few weeks back all the emails I'd ever received with the current server were downloaded.  I deleted them all, and ignored it, but a few weeks later the same happened.  This time I found a 'stop' key, and instantly every email folder on my system disappeared.  Fortunately all were backed up to an internet site, and have been restored to the desktop, but I can't re-import them.

I have followed the instructions on the Microsoft website four times, and each time a new 'imported folder' has been created. However, the 'Outlook Express' folder incorporated in this is empty.   The files remain on my desktop.

Any ideas?

hi, i've searched a lot, but it seems not a windows live mail feature.

I mean some kind of systray notification on new mail.

It's a mainly important function for a mail client..

Occasionally I will download an email and it will disappear within seconds. It is not in my Inbox, Junk or Delete folders. Why would this happen and if saved on the Server can that be accessed?

I cannot download emails that are a few MB large to Windows Live Mail. The email gets stuck. I went to security options and unchecked 'Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus'. When I did this I the email downloaded.

Is the only solution to this problem is unchecking the virus protection??

Thanks,

Jon

For the last couple of months I have been having strange problems when sending e-mails with attachments using WLM with my Win 7 PC after using it successfully for a couple of years.

If I try to send a message with two or three pictures attached - say about 1Mb each, the "sending e-mail" message appears for a few minutes, then dissappears as expected.

The recipient receives about a dozen separate e-mails mostly comprising pages and pages of random text and symbols which I assume is the coded representation of the pictures.

The text of the e-mail is also buried in there somewhere.

At my end, the e-mail just disappears: ie it does not appear in my SENT ITEMS folder although it may suddenly appear there after a day or two.

There are no error messages at any time.

I have also had the same problem with a 800Mb WORD file as an attachment.

Mail sending format in WLM Options is set to HTML.  I can't find anything about attachment size limits.

Any help would be very welcome.

PLEASE HELP.  My computer crashed but the problem was rectified.  However, since then, every time I try to get into my Windows Mail it asks me to enter my user name and password.  I  have used the account for years with no problems but I cannot remember this information.  Also I cannot see anywhere I could ask for or change my password and username.  I would appreciate some help as I do not understand computers very well.
I have an HP computer with Windows 8.1 and Windows Live Mail for email. Up until yesterday, I could click on a photo, click on share, and select a size to attach to an email. Now it still gives me that action, but does not attach the photo to the email. The email subject and body says the photo is attached but it is not. Anyone else having this issue? If I go into the email and click the attach button, I can still attach a photo but at the regular size. It seems to me that the problem is in picture folder program, not the email.

I am using Windows 8.01  and  Windows Live Mail

Problem

When I send myself (I was trying it out to check the formatting) an email with a photo (jpeg) in the body of the text, an apostrophe in the text changes when I print out the email (see changes below.) But when I send a photo (jpeg) as an attachment nothing changes in the text when I print it out.

The change is:-

it's becomes ita(euro symbol)tm followed by the s

I have googled and checked that my Live Mail says

Encoding = Western Europe ISO

On Live Mail: File: Options: Mail: Read: International Settings = Western European ISO

On Live Mail: File: Options: Mail: Send: International Settings = Western European ISO

I've checked

Checked the keyboard choice - English (United Kingdom)

Checked the language - it is English (United Kingdom) which is correct

I can not find via a search of my computer that I have smart quotes

I've done all that I can and now I need help. This problem does not happen with my mates Mac using a Kodak printer.

If you reply please do so using basic language as I am not into computer jargon, many thanks, hope someone can help me.

I`m using Windows Live Mail 2012. It has been set up With an IMAP account. When I delete a mail, I can not see it in the "Trash" folder. Why not. Earlier deleted mails has ended up in the "Trash" folder. I have used Windows Live Mail for years. I`m not sure. The latest mail I have in my Trash folder is from 11th of August, and was a mail sent to my IMAP mail account. What has changed?
