Windows Live Mail FAQ
In Windows live mail I have 3 email addresses. One is Hotmail, one outlook and the other sympatico. The problem I have is whenever an email is sent to any of these addresses, I receive it at all three so my unread email folder gets 3 copies of the same email. Is there a way to fix this so I only get the email to the address it is sent to?

I too use windows live, no matter who I send emails with attachments to the attachment is gibberish. I am trying to attach the email in totality and I keep getting a message that Microsoft is not responding, it has happened repeatedly. I have windows 8.1, got new Dell computer in April of 2014 and the issue did not occur until July 16, 2014 and continues, it is very frustrating, I deal with thousands of people daily and I need to be able to depend on my email and attachments reaching clients so they can understand and respond to them.

Because of a major problem with not being able to rename folders I recently reinstalled Windows 8 and upgraded to 8.1 as before. Everything is now running great, except for one annoying glitch with Windows Live Mail when I am sending emails.
My ISP is BTInternet and I have 6 sub-accounts for business use. When I reinstalled Windows 8 / 8.1 I used the free KLS Mail package to restore all the many emails that I had backed up before the reinstallation. Everything went fine - all important old emails were reinstalled in their sub-folders as before. However, when I now create a new email (and click on "From" in the top right hand of the dialog box) each of my email account / sub accounts is listed not just the expected once, but two or three times in the drop down list.
When I choose and send an email using one of those several email addresses I then get a Windows Live Mail error message saying "Sending email using ""[My Email Account Name]"" and "Not Connected". The dialog box then freezes until I restart the computer.
I think it's to do with the multiple names/email addresses coming up, because when I restart the computer it's fine; and I have checked and found that the original email is sent and received okay.
Any help would be appreciated!

I am able to receive E-mail, but as soon as they are downloaded the message below appears in a box with a red line across the bottom., could anyone E-mail me instructions on how to solve this problem, I have windows 8 on a Dell Tablet. Thanke you

This whole business is a catastrophy for the reputation of Microsoft!! I just lost all my 10.000+ emails which is my business emails for our archives institution throughout the past 5 years.
I see here that this huge hole in a Microsoft product has been known for 2-3 years and NOONE at Microsoft seem to care about it - or....?
What kind of a company is that? What kind of customer relations do they expect to build?
My own loss happened this evening on the day after I spent a very long time waiting for 16 new updates to upload into my computer. None of those updates - and 100s before - seems to have addressed the problem that all people in this trail complain about. Hello? Anyone awake at Microsoft?
I would be very happy for Microsoft to call me personally at my phone (Sweden) +46 725 36 92 66 and tell me what to do to reclaim 5 years of business history? Microsoft is closed for the weekend - and it seems they have been closed in this area for many years now.... Or I could note down all the hours this kind of sloppiness will cause me and send Microsoft a bill at the end of 2014...?
The procedure to reclaim lost emails described here is rediculous because there is no such buttoms in my Explorer as described. How do you translate "Organize / folder and search opinions" into Swedish (I have the Swedish version). Anything like that is anywhere in my program as far as I can tell. Someone from Microsoft Sweden should make contact here.
Things were a hell lot better when we all used typewriters and stamps. Microsoft cant even design a decent program where I can archive my historical emails. Everyone with a business wants that program - Microsoft has no idea I guess???
I know a friend who prints out all his emails on paper because there is no good archive database for emails. Is this year 2014???

I HAVE AN EMAIL THAT IS THREE PAGES LONG. HOW DO I PRINT ONLY PAGES ONE AND TWO.
My pc did an automatic update last night and I have had a couple of problems since.
The current one is that windows live mail is stuck on "Off-Line" and when I click file, in internet explorer the "work offline/online" in the list has gone.
How can I get it back online?
