I would like help from Microsoft for this error: Synchronization error 0x800488EB   I did a repair windows Live mail and it didn't work.
I have a desktop PC running Windows 7 (64).  I have lost all reference to Live essentials.  It is not shown in "all programs" or in "programs & Features,  so I am unable to uninstall it.  However when I try to download Essentials it states that all the programs are already installed. I need help to uninstall or repair Essentials.  Has anyone any ideas?

Unable to send or receive Emails from Windows Live Mail.  Have tried several options recommended to no avail.  Problem developed 2 days ago. I can receive my Email on Outlook just fine but prefer using Windows Live. Also seem to be able to receive Emails on my Laptop as well as my Android phone.

This 'Old Fart' needs help. I have used Windows Live Mail since I bought a new Samsung Laptop with Windows 8 (now 8.1) about 18 months ago. No real issues, until 8/10 weeks ago, when every time that I logged-in an error message would appear saying that my directories could NOT be located/found! Consequently, I ended up losing all of my personal files and accumulated emails. The system would download historical emails for the previous 2 days or so! I lost saved emails for the past 18 months!!

I have never been a Windows 8 fan and the past 8/10 weeks is driving to my iPad very quickly. I pay Systweaks (a Microsoft partner) to assist in issues, but after 4 attempts by them nothing has changed!

Would appreciate any help/assistance.

Thanks in anticipation,

Bob N

I recently received an email from Microsoft themselves telling me they think I've been hacked (again) but I've tried number ways to get back into my account - using alternative email to change password - WONT WORK .. I've also tried contacting them via telephone although I think may have been another type of hacker as he told me I had to pay 80 pound to UNHACK my account.. My friend had also tried to help by emailing them himself and they have have me here. I've had to make a new email just to ask this question!!! Can anyone help me please I really need my old email as I have really important emails coming and I can't get them and haven't been able to access my account for two weeks! Please help!

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800488EB

This is the same issue I had in May of this year.  I am getting tired of this...

I repaired windows essentials 2012 and the problem persists.

I made a new account in windows live and the problem persists.

What a great and reliable product.  Is this now going to be a semi annual issue instead of the annual issue?

I can't send or receive e-mail with Windows Live Mail for 2 of my MSN.com accounts - the others work fine.  I see that this has affected a lot of people in the past - but didn't see anyone having the problem at this time.  I tried the "fixes" listed by and for other users - but it still doesn't work.

What next?

I keep getting pop ups asking me to verify my Microsoft account and provide the password.I don't understand what is that for.I have a password for my computer which I'm using every time. Do I need two passwords to log in to my computer!? I don't think so..

Could somebody explain me this, please?

Thanks in advance,
