I have had this issue for about 6 months and have always been able to fix it by removing and re-adding my msn account but now this fix has stopped working and I am continuing to see the following message:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Msn (cazd24) account.

Server Error: 0x800488EB
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800488EB

Can someone in lay-mans terms advise me what will be the best way to fix this.  i have read other feeds and I could not identify a genuine fix brought forward by a person from Windows.  As it has been affecting so many has Window put in place a genuine fix please?  i am on Windows XP

Thanks

Caroline

I cannot login on my Window Live Mail or Outlook for my MSN account. My Hotmail account work just fine.

I received this error message each time:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Msn account. Sorry, we were unable to sign you in to Windows Live ID at this time. Please try again later.

I look on the forum before I made this post.

1. I removed the account and Re-configure your account in Windows Live Mail: Did not solved the issue.

2. Make sure the date and time was set right. Did not solved the issue.

3. Turn Off my Firewall. Did not solved the issue.

The only way to check it is to go to www.msn.com

Downloaded the file and double-clicked to start it running. Asked for and granted permission for it to run.

According to Windows Task Manager, the process is running, but the application is not.

MSE was operating previously. Then I ran into an error message which research prompted me to uninstall AVG Free and MSE, then reinstall each, MSE first. During the uninstall of MSE, the operation showed in Task Manager as Not Responding, so I terminated it.  I tried to reboot, but the close phase would not complete after running for an hour. I executed a hard reboot. The reboot executed, but I still cannot get MSE to work.

BTW, latest software change was a browser add-in called RocketTab. I cannot find a link to uninstall it.

Windows 7

Where do I go from here?
