I have Windows 7 and after several years it started asking for and not accepting user ID and Passoword.   It's been two days now.  I have reset my passord and can sign in on Microsoft.  My provider is Cox and I can sign in with Webmail and also on my Apple IPad but not Windows Live Mail

Hello,
I have Windows Live Mail and am using it to filter through that email account as well as two others. During the set up I created a folder for one of the additional accounts, however one of the others somehow did not get a folder but is instead going directly into the inbox for the "live.com" address.
Now - I no longer have this "other" email account and am getting flooded with junk mail from that old address. How can I get that old address out of my "live.com" since there is no folder to delete?
Thank you
Windows live mail prompted a warning 'certificate not valid' and since then I receive new mail but cannot open, create new mail, or navigate the mail site. Live.com still works on Mac but not on PC. I have cleared cache, returned computer to original defaults, deleted and re-downloaded Windows Essentials, changed password,  turned off security, all to no avail. Can the Windows Live Mail be made to function again?

I've read a lot of post and answers on this, but....  For most contacts that I want to delete, if I "right-click to interact", as the program tells me, the Delete option is pale, and does not respond to any click.  In most attempts, the "RED" cross in the ribbon remains blue!  Only if the label: "Address Book" appears under the Contact name will the "Red" cross be red, and clicking the Delete is then successful.

Some Contacts are labelled: "Facebook" (and I have gathered that they can be deleted "from a Facebook" account); but what about those Contacts which have no label?  How can they be deleted?

I don't even know if this is the right place to ask this question, but here goes!

I've been trying to send an email on numerous occasions via the web in Internet Explorer. Every time I try to do so I get this message 'Invalid request - request sent without session'.

Can anyone please tell me what exactly this means as I can't find out. What do I need to do to overcome this situation and thus send the email which I wush to send.

I searched and found the results for adding a category in live mail.  However, I am trying to do this on my Surface.  This means I am permanently logged in to my Live Account. I am not seeing the options to add the category.  Where do I go?  I know that I would be able to do this from another device (PC/Laptop) but that seems impractical since I am already signed into my account on my device (Surface).  Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

I am receiving Multiple email Messages to my Windows Live Mail Account. Build  Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3528.0331)

I have contacted Bell Canada to try and resolve this problem.

I spoke with a 2nd level supervisor and he tells me this is a known issue to Microsoft and I need to contact Windows Live Mail for a fix.

I need some technical help please.

Thank you,

Ian.

I had been using Outlook.com for my emails, with my emails being forwarded from my server.  Several had not got through, so I turned off forwarding and went back to Live Mail.  I could receive but not send - error 0x800CCC0E.  Socket error 10060.

I deleted that account and remade it, checking my info against my husband's similar account.  Still couldn't send as it insisted on sending from my old account although it had been deleted.

I deleted all accounts and remade my primary one.   Still couldn't send - it was still using the old deleted account.

I removed Windows Essentials from my computer and downloaded a new copy.

It still won't send and uses the old deleted account.  I can see an error in the old account - STMP instead of SMTP.   The subsequent account doesn't have that error, but Mail won't use it.

I went to Add/Remove Programs and repaired Windows Essential - still no change.

The only thing I can think of now is that I only downloaded the MAIL program in Essentials.

Thanks for your help, Jane
