I am using WLM 2011 on a Vista Home Premium platform.  About two weeks ago, I started receiving the above message when opening WLM.  I do not even use the calendar, but I can't find a way to get rid of the message.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance

There is a problem deleting thousands of emails from the Live Mail server. This appears to occur when the user is accessing emails via the web mail version (outlook.com) and not deleting emails at all.

My experience when using Live Mail only on the local computer (not web mail) that when permanently deleting emails that they are removed from the server.

However I have client who has used the web mail for years and accumulated 7000 Sent and 5000+ within the Inbox. Upon installing Live Mail on their computer a massive download occurs. The client was then asked to clean up the emails in the local Live Mail believing that synch would remove from the server.

Twice now I have had to installed Live mail and each time the masses of emails are downloaded, apparently the local deletes did not synch. So I have permanently fixed the problem by logging into the web mail version and permanently deleting the masses. I found deleting the Inbox a pain in that when the oldest emails are displayed that only 35 can be deleted at a time. A work around is to delete all Inbox emails then open Deleted items and select the number of most recent emails required and move them back to the Inbox.

I believe that there should be an added function that enables the user to choose that all emails in the Inbox be deleted after a number of days defined by the user.

Windows Live Mail for 8.1.  When hitting the REPLY button the window now fills the entire screen.  How do I return it to the normal size which was the default?
I have Windows Live Mail on Windows 7, but I'm not seeing the option to hide the icon when minimized. Does it have to be unpinned from the task bar for that option to be available? If so, where do I find that option after unpinning from task bar?

Hi there,

Is there anyway of Windows Live Mail 2012 to pull all messages from all mail folders from within my Windows Live Hotmail in one sync each time I open the program? Also is it possible to download all messages to C:Users<username>AppDataWindows Live Mail including the mail folders like with Outlook? Your help would be much appreciated.

Kind regards,

RocknRollTim

P.S. Which mail protocols does Windows Live Mail 2012 currently support? Also which one does it use by default?

This is affecting only one account (of 4) on one of (3) PCs and laptops. This particular PC is running Windows 7 Home Premium. All other PCs and accounts are operating normally. Have tried uninstall and reinstall, removing and replacing account and Microsoft Fix-It repairs. Nothing has worked. Problem started approximately 2:00 a.m. EST today, almost same time as Patch Tuesday Updates installed.

I can access the emails as an alias with the same account name in Outlook.com account.

When exporting Contacts from Windows Mail Ver 6 to Windows Live mail in Win 7, the export function does not work on Group contacts.  Not only does it not export the contact list it does not export the contact Group Name.

I've tried this a number of ways and only names in the Contact file are sent to the exporting storage device.

Luckily for me, most of the names in my Group listing were also in the Contact file as individual entries.  Those not individually entered and only in the Group did not export.

I know this might be a corner case but there seems to be some underlying bug that does not recognize the Group Name and export these names.

Help!  I'm getting the same error message I got a couple weeks ago:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Msn account.

Server Error: 0x800488EB

My understanding is that there was nothing we users could do to fix this certificate problem.  Could sure use a Microsoft engineer right now!
