OT: Live Mail 2012 Sign In.

I use live mail on a shared computer and I'm wondering if there's any way to stop other users being able to access all my email accounts.  Currently all they have to do is close the sign in dialogue box to access everything.

Thanks in anticipation of the reply.

Since getting Windows 7 and Windows Live Mail I have been unable to send or reply to emails. Following is the error I receive, I feel sure it is the way the account is set up but I can't find the error.

The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's email address. The sender's email address was '*** Email address is removed for privacy ***'.

Subject 'test'
Server Error: 530
Server Response: 530 5.7.1 Authentication required
Server: 'smtp.att.yahoo.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC78
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 465
Secure(SSL): Yes

I was unable to send emails from my Live mail using Windows live mail because it kept asking me to 'enter the characters you see' and then said they are incorrect.

I can't use mobile verification as I am off the network.

why, when I type the correct characters does it reject the answer and how/ who do I report it (to)?

The entry box forces all characters to upper case.

I've also tried playing the audio: its not English and unintelligible!

On-line  in outlook.com it allowed upper and lower case to be entered and I sailed through

Bug? security breech? my end or microsoft?

Thanks

Hi all I haven't done this before but would be glad for some suggestions.

I have a Gmail account and trying o set it up through Windows Live Mail.

I have followed this step by step guide : http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows-vista/windows-mail-setting-up-an-account-from-start-to-finish

I have reset the password, re-installed the Windows Essentials Package and I'm just at my wits end.

I can sign in via my smart phone and any internet browser. But when trying to sign in via Windows Live Mail 2012, keeps bouncing back saying the Username / Password is incorrect. But there is nothing wrong with the username / password.

Any suggestions would be great

I have windows defender on my computer. I was wondering how good is it and does it really work

Hi all

Every three weeks or so the items from my main folders in Livemail disappear and the following happens;  The inbox items return individually over about two minutes, the sent items empties completely and the items reappear in another sent items folder under a storage folders, recovered items heading.  I have about twenty five replicated folders each with a date heading such as 11-20-2014.  Any sub folders from the main items at the top appear haphazardly down at the bottom and a split into recoverd dates.  Most annoying, and I have lost some items altogether.  Any idea what is the problem and how to rectify?

Thanks

Phil

I am using Windows Live Mail 2012 on my laptop (it is not HOTMAIL/OUTLOOK.COM).  I would like to reset my password but am not 100% sure what it currently is - I know what it was, but something got screwed up along the way, it could be one of two or 3 pw's.  I am able to logon to get mail.  But I need to update the password. I am afraid that if something goes wrong when I reset - I could get locked out - just because I am not sure what my password is.  Is there a file on my hard drive that contains the password so I can check it?  If I reset the password and it doesn't work, how do I recover?  Just nervous about updating it it since I don't want to get locked out and I don't know how to recover if I do. thanks!

Hello all,

I access my gmail account through Windows Live Mail 2012 on an ASUS Laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium.

I've noticed that when I attempt to Empty the Trash Folder, I'm getting some messages re-appear in my Spam Folder. Over the last 12 months I've built up about a dozen messages that keep doing this. I believe they all originally arrived in my Spam folder, but not every message that arrives in my Spam folder behaves like this 12 or so do. What happens is as follows:

1. The message arrives in the Spam folder

2. I delete the message, and it moves to the Trash folder

3. When I empty the Trash folder, all messages disappear from there, but these 12 or so re-appear in my Spam folder.

I've deleted these messages dozens of times, but I can't seem to get rid of them permanently.

Any help appreciated

Ron

How can I change this?
